General Discussion / Re: Oz: The Great and Powerful Trailer« on: July 14, 2012, 06:02:24 AM »
I could not force myself to finish the book. There was just so much I didn't care about. However, I love the musical. I haven't read any of the original Oz books since I was in the single-digits, though, I should pick them up again.

"I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying."
"If you are not too long, I will wait here for you all my life." - Oscar Wilde --- "The difference between a man and a boy is, a boy wants to grow up to be a fireman, but a man wants to grow up to be a giant monster fireman." “We tend to scoff at the beliefs of the ancients. But we can't scoff at them personally, to their faces, and this is what annoys me.” “It's fascinating to think that all around us there's an invisible world we can't even see. I'm speaking, of course, of the World of the Invisible Scary Skeletons.” “If any man says he hates war more than I do, he better have a knife, that's all I have to say” - Jack Handey --- "I realize that I'm generalizing here, but as is often the case when I generalize, I don't care." "Life is anything that dies when you stomp on it." "What I look forward to is continued immaturity followed by death." - Dave Barry 7

Sweet and funny!
You've got a knack for writing the Archie characters, PTF, you grasp their voice and actions very well!

General Discussion / Re: Are CGI Family Movies Getting Dumber?« on: July 13, 2012, 08:02:43 PM »
I guess I grew up with enough CG animation to still be able to connect to it emotionally. I definitely love to see traditionally animated movies and marvel at the skill used in making them, but I don't think that something being CG automatically makes it soulless. I wept like an infant at the end of Toy Story 3, not because it was hand-drawn but because I was attached to the characters and how they were written and what they had been through.
That being said, piles of sub-par CG movies are out there because by now making one is fairly inexpensive. I think that's a main part of why they so largely outnumber traditionally animated movies now, is because they're a lot cheaper to make, and thus a lot easier to churn out without putting thought into them. But that isn't always the case. 9
All About Archie / Re: how /when did you start reading archie comics?« on: July 13, 2012, 08:19:31 AM »It would take a few hours of driving to get too, so it wouldn't be terribly convenient, but if you really wanted to go to the beach it could happen. XD Like I said, it's not a very solid theory, it's just what pops into my head first when I try to locate Riverdale on a map.i see. and that part has sea beaches?I think one of my friends used to live there (and I mean way north, as in nearly Oregon), and they would get snow. For some reason I always thought it was in northern California. It doesn't make too much sense but it won't unstick itself from my minddoes Northern California have snow? 10

I'll have to set my dislike of James Franco aside for this one. It looks pretty cool! (at least I like Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz)
