  • B-ko Daitokuji: I think the company is going through some kind of transition period, to what I don't know, but I'm sure they don't want to have a bunch of late books

  • mitsuhoney: I understand that books and comics get delays but this is just getting ridiculous now with Archie Comics, the past four months has seen so many delays its a bit unprofessional of them, especially since they never inform fans of whats going on.

  • PTF: To be fair, it's not like Marvel or DC do not have late books. :)

  • spazaru: I agree.  Especially with Afterlife, Archie needs to get it together.  People will forget it exists and not care by the time the next issue comes out.  It's the only book that selling really well for them, so I'm surprised they don't make getting it out on time their highest priority.

Always the original, Dan De Carlo designed Sabrina.

BTW-- I'm so  annoyed that Sabrina is drawn off-model these days!
No slight slanted eyes, littlre in the way of an upturned nose, and worse!

Sabrina was drawn with green eyes, not blue!

I just bought this today. It's fantastic!

They only made 5 issues but it's worth it.

Who's the redhead?

I was hoping this was going to be a Cherry Poptart TPB.

Neither of us is that lucky, B-Ko.

Well, no, it's "Betty & Veronica: Love At First Bite", available for pre-order from Amazon.
Should ship in time for Halloween....

No  good cover pics for the TPB, yet.

I pre-ordered it months ago.
And posted about it here, already.

The B&W thing is fine by me.

I'm looking forward to it, and to future volumes about Sabrina.

The average lifespan of Americans is improving.
In the 1940s, a 40 year old person would be considered as entering middle age, & would likely look it. Disease, injury & poor nutrition speed up aging, as does smoking.

Today, a 40 year old looks mighty good.

I like the decor on page 11--if you had gone all Eames, it would have been wrong for a motel.

When everything goes wrong for Mad Doctor Doom, he & his assistant escape on a freighter.

The name of the ship is quite well-displayed, & odd: Pride Of Walvis Bay.

Does this name have an old Archie connection?

Ring any bells for anybody?I'm thinking Bob Bolling, somehow, but I don't know just quite why.

First-rate art!

I'd like it, but could I get it?

And Archie's subscription service is utterly unreliable.

It rings a bell, but I couldn't give you an issue.

Was Dan De Carlo quoted as saying he put the faces of people he knew into the comics, as a way of saying "Hi"?
