Can you do that, through Amazon?

This woman has reprinted hundreds of Golden Age comics, and not just Archie.

Use the link, click her name, & get a list of more than 1,000 titles!
WOW!

IIRC, the limit for going public domain is 70 years.  So when did those comics originally come out?

Mostly WW2.

YOW!

I just dropped more than $150 on various publications, including Ella Cinders, Invisible Scarlet O'Neil, & various members of the Captain Marvel Family!

As well as a couple Archie reprints (all of which include the original ads).

Check it

Kari A Therrian is publishing a lot of reprinted Public Domain comics.
Early Archie stuff seems to be included.
Question--could this be related to the New Look for Archie?
Lots & lots more stuff, including Golden Age non-Archie stuff.

All About Archie / Re: is jughead a complete idiot?
« on: November 21, 2014, 07:53:51 AM »
Both Jughead and Reggie try to hustle the rules.
Different attitudes, motivations & approaches, true.
Reggie is more of a nasty prankster, driven by ego & a concealed insecurity.
Juggie is very secure in himself, but is a con artist at heart.

It does seem to be true.
AC is gonna have to face this.
I'm just regretting that this kind of scandal has hit somebody so close to AC. I hope it doesn't spatter.

However--cleaning up this rotten mess must be done.

She goes.

All About Archie / Re: Archie's car
« on: November 04, 2014, 06:29:32 PM »
They should have kept the original car.  The jokes write themselves.  This is an example of Archie Comics deluding their own product by trying to stay too current.

They should switch it to a Yugo.
Same old jokes, newer car.

I've heard that many distorted accusations are coming from the Right.
Take things carefully, & check the story out.

The switch was unheralded.
Since then, Archie's old buggy has shown up in one or two stories that deal with antique cars.

I, personally, miss the graffiti Archie wrote on the side, in the 1940s: "LEAP IN--LIMP OUT."
