  • Archie Comics Collector: Archie #2 is coming! I am subscriber and received it like 2 to 3 days ago. As mentioned before Archie is shipping comics late because they were using a different publisher to print the comics. It seems that they may have gone back to the one they used awhile back but it will take some time before the comics starting coming on time again. Possibly a few weeks!

YOW!

I just dropped more than $150 on various publications, including Ella Cinders, Invisible Scarlet O'Neil, & various members of the Captain Marvel Family!

As well as a couple Archie reprints (all of which include the original ads).
I'm guessing you've had these books in hand for a while now. Did you find these to be a good value and how was print quality?

Well, it's scanned from 50+ year old comics, but not too bad, overall.
Most of the "comics" contain both Archie & other backup material, as you'd expect.
Colors are somewhat washed out from aging, but that's the material, not careless scanning.
Overall--not too shabby.

I do on the other hand, seem to recall a Dell or Gold Key comic about them.
But my memory isn't clear.

No.
Never.

The Archie gang meets the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urusei_Yatsura gang.
Who, in point of fact, are loosely based on the Archie Gang.

Archie Meets Shazam!
The Big Red Cheese would do very well, in the Archieverse.
At least, the CC Beck version of Captain Marvel would.

Note--Head Witch Della is one of a very, very few Archie Universe characters who smoked. And with a cigarette holder, yet!

Sabrina has faded in & out of Riverdale, ever since she was created.
Any stories when she attends Riverdale High?

This woman has reprinted hundreds of Golden Age comics, and not just Archie.

Use the link, click her name, & get a list of more than 1,000 titles!
WOW!

IIRC, the limit for going public domain is 70 years.  So when did those comics originally come out?

Mostly WW2.

Check it

Kari A Therrian is publishing a lot of reprinted Public Domain comics.
Early Archie stuff seems to be included.
Question--could this be related to the New Look for Archie?
Lots & lots more stuff, including Golden Age non-Archie stuff.
