In an episode of Duel Masters, the main character first meets a girl named Betty and near the end, she introduces him to her friends, Archie, Reggie and Veronica.

The porn movie Cherry Pie is based solely on Archie Comics.

In the movie, Chasing Amy, the characters discuss the sexuality of Archie in a scene.

"Oh, I 'd love to go, Archikins, but..."
Betty groaned and laid her head down on a nearby armrest.
"Well, what would Betty say if I went? I mean, she's here..."
Betty immediately jolted up, a little irritated from the sarcastic remark.
"What do you mean 'what would I say'?" she growled...

Well, a few years before I joined, I was browsing another Archie fansite and was just randomly clicking on links. I clicked on one named "Harry and Saranda" and found out about Jughead's 26-year-old niece and her fiancee (Harry). This was also when his older brother came in and yes, Jughead's older brother and sister-in law have passed. I just don't know when. I believe Saranda appears in an issue of Archie & Friends (I just might have it, thanks to a big box of Archie comics we found at Goodwill). The only problem is that I forgot the site and the number of the digest. Let me see if I can find it again...

When you read the actual book, the characters appear differently in the comic than on the cover. Wonder why that is...

I like the flimsy ones because they are easier to open. The only problem is that cover can tear off so easily due to my sister rereading every single one in my library.

Archie actually cussed in 1940s a lot more openly than in the comics now. Even though they are still symbols, they are very evident. I have the Best of Forties: Book Two and a few of the stories in there involve either Archie or his father cussing out of anger. Veronica even said "Go to ground" (go to hell)...or something like that.
