I really enjoyed this one. Everything that was missing from the Archie Marries series was included in here eg. the drama, character development, pacing. I loved the dimension travelling Dilton mystery in the Betty part. The art was very nice.

Did anyone notice what the symbols on Dilton's photo represented? The arrows showed who hooked up/are going to hook up. The circle around Betty was because Archie married Betty. There was a line over Moose's eyes, might be cos he's going to date a blind girl. But there were crosses on Ms Grundy's face (who's ill and will probably die) AND on Veronica?? I wonder if they are going to kill her off as well. :o

Well I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Yeah, that picture was definitely interesting.  I don't think the X over Veronica's picture meant that she was going to die...Betty's face was circled and it did take place in the Archie Loves Betty story, so my guess would be the X means "I didn't choose you" as opposed to "your time on this Earth is limited."

Another one that surprises me is the thunderbolt display between Chuck and Nancy...as if they break up...

But why would Diltion use X to mean to 2 differnt things. Yah I am intersted in seeing why Chuck and Nany break up in the Betty and Archie verese

In the Life with Archie:The Married Life , there was this part that i did not understand. Why did she call him scarecrow and he was just like " Hows Betty? " Are these two different people or something? So confused right now.

The scarecrow comment in quotation marks is a quote from The Wizards of Oz ... By quoting it, Betty's referring to Jughead as being tall and thin, and saying she missed him.  When Jughead responds with "How's Betty?" he's asking Betty how she is ... just in a very casual way.

TM, is there a Walmart nearby? That's where I found mine.

I finally bought this comic on Tuesday and my sis and I were so caught up in reading it, we couldn't put it down! I love the continuity of the stories and how realistic these stories are. I'm a little more into the Archie/Veronica story, but I'm not panning Archie/Betty either.

A/V had much more drama than I expected! It was pretty fast-paced, perfect for the situations the gang were starting to get into. And it was interesting seeing the Jughead/Midge moment in there. Betty/Reggie doesn't look as promising, though, mainly due to their reactions to being seen as a potential couple.

A/B was slower-paced, but more emotional. I liked how they incorporated the situations from A/V into this one. I wasn't expecting that. And I loved how Archie stood up to Mr. Lodge, especially after he used money to try and convince Archie to divorce Betty! (Which was, of course, totally out of character and a little weird) Dilton's parallel universe bit reminds me of a certain fanfic, though...:)
When it comes to food Archie Comics, I'm an expert.

There's the dinosaur Walmart that my mom works at. I'll stop in there tomorrow on my way to work and take a look. If I can't find it there, I'll have to drive to the Supercenter.

I know they may not reacted like they wanted to be a couple. But I am hoping that page is just showing how unexpected it will be when they do find they have feeling for each other. Unless Michel Uslan is  out of touch with the fans that he feel that decnet majority would find it so harlioulsy abusrd that Reggie and Betty getting togehter. Or feel the need to waste page to tell Betty and Reggie that idots if they think for moment that there pairng is getting together. That would  Michel make ehtier out of touch or just kind of cruel if he has no plans for Bety Reggie and since I like too give folks inculcled talented Michel Uslan I tend to like belive the series might  be going this direction eventually. Also he intented to be crule or tryed to make a joke out of B/R what's with macthing oufits and Betty's contant defense of Reggie , although I guess  thoose can be chalked up to werid Conwindences.

I just finished reading #1. While I don't know if I'll write in-depth reviews of this series (let's face it: I'm behind on my digest reviews, which have far less original content), I'll share some thoughts on some parts of the story.

The Veronica story:

My favorite scene was when Betty called Cheryl to chat. There are two reasons for this.

1) Out of all of the people that she could have called, Betty calls Cheryl to be cheered up. Awww... :smitten: It's also neat that Betty has Cheryl's cell phone number, and there's no hatred between them. Everything's all smiles. Has someone been reading "Friendly Fire"? :P

2) Cheryl hasn't gone crawling back to mommy and daddy and doing what they want her to do, just so she could be massively rich again. Pursuing her dream is more important than money to Cheryl.

I wish they didn't spoil Cheryl's waiter job by previewing it on the first page, though!

I also gotta wonder why Cheryl doesn't simply work for her dad and start up her own small production company on the side. That way, she can finance her own leading-role movies.

The Midge/Moose break-up was well-done.

A curiosity is no one - not even Midge, it seems - knows Moose's real name until he mentions it. Very odd. What about the graduation ceremony?

The Betty story:

Mr. Lodge behaves very out-of-character. He reminds me of how he behaves in Return To Riverdale, except here he wants Archie to be with Veronica. Also, Veronica can't do well in business unless Archie is in her life? Wow, that's just...ugh. Anyway, why wouldn't Mr. Lodge simply move Veronica to another position that lets her function better?

The New Look stories are in another dimension? The other stuff, I can understand, but why single out the New Look stories? They fit in just fine.

Wait. Little Archie is said to be in another dimension, but then Archie flashes back to his Little Archie days. What?

The Weatherbee/Grundy proposal was nice.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to #2.
