  • Biollante: probalby, but 59 percent is considered a "blow out" in political terms, some people are on shaky ground right now, there was evne a conservative pollset that worked for Bush warning people that if Republicans are against things like gay marriage in the near future, they would endure catastrophic losses, I don't know if it's this political cycle, but the paradigm shift already happened a while ago

  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: Joe Quesada was drawing Thor on some Disney promo, and he drew him flying with his hammer on his side, now I'm not a Thor junkie, but isn't that actualy inaccurate, doesn't he fly by being dragged by his hammer???

Mr. Lodge evil robot twin?

Didn't they already do an Archie story in the 1970's where they built a robotic Mr. Lodge that replaced the real Mr. Lodge?

Yes, and in fact, it was in the original "Life With Archie." that's probably not the explanation, but I like to think all of LWA is connected together.

It would be so awesome if that was the explantion. :)

That story was reprinted in a digest not long ago, so that's likely why it's so familiar.

I just realized that  Michel uslan took whole page to say it's happenning Beggie is stupiud paring.  :'( What the was wrong with me thinking it was froshowding for otherwise.  :'( Note to Michel Uslan there is no nice way to say your'e pairng is not happening so don't borther taking up a whole page to forshadow a pairing is not going to happen. It's like trying to nicley turn down stalker it just gets interpeted the wrong way and leads to lot of hurt feeling down the road.  You should just issued a restraning warrant and not brought it up at all. Eventually us Betty and Reggie shippers would have got message and backed offf. Poor Michel Uslan he ethier does not understand a  Betty/Reggie fanbase exists or does not understand there no such thing as letting pairing down easy and it's really just better ingonre completley and let gravity do it's thing.

Aw. But it's just a comic book with make-believe characters.^^;

I have collected LWA magazines from uh, #3 and I'm really impressed with the beautiful artwork and the interesting "adult" story, too. Too bad the glossy magazine is still aimed at the preteen kiddies, though.

But the whole thing is a bit too lovey-dovey for my liking. So Mr. Weatherbee marries Ms. Grundy, Jughead marries Midge, and Miss Beazley marries Sven Svenson. Okaaay, so where's Miss Haggly with Mr. Flutesnoot? Already eloped somewhere?  ::)

I really prefer Jughead to stay a rather girl-friendly "woman-hater" who would rather eat instead and Midge obviously isn't all that faithful to Moose to begin with (she should have gone off with Reggie instead, heh.) And Miss Beazley seemed to have grown much younger and prettier, too. She'd probably be young enough to have a baby with Mr. Svenson by the time they go off on a honeymoon. ???

And Mr. Lodge suddenly turning a money-greedy monster who would gladly mow down Riverdale and even destroy sweet, innocent Betty Cooper along with it to get what he wants? Wow.

It's probably an alternate universe after all while the real Archie characters would probably never age or leave Riverdale High for eons to come.;)

that is something that intrigues me.  From how it is presented, the style of magazine, the tween "stars" etc.. it is clear Archie are aiming this at kids.  and yet, the content has been firmly in the more adult area.  I find it interesting to see such a discrepancy.
