  • Biollante: probalby, but 59 percent is considered a "blow out" in political terms, some people are on shaky ground right now, there was evne a conservative pollset that worked for Bush warning people that if Republicans are against things like gay marriage in the near future, they would endure catastrophic losses, I don't know if it's this political cycle, but the paradigm shift already happened a while ago

  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.
    May 21, 2012, 07:57:37 AM
  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: Joe Quesada was drawing Thor on some Disney promo, and he drew him flying with his hammer on his side, now I'm not a Thor junkie, but isn't that actualy inaccurate, doesn't he fly by being dragged by his hammer???

Archie checklist by Forsythe
« on: July 10, 2008, 12:05:22 AM »
I just updated my checklist to include the latest price guide values and the most current issues. By special request I made a duplicate and removed my data from it.

Now its a checklist anyone can use. This is the first of 22 pages, can you make a print out of this scan or do we need to find another way of posting this?

If this works let me know, I'll get the other 21 pages posted very soon!

Forgot to add (in case anyones wondering) the prices are shown are for good 2.0, very good 4.0, fine 6.0, very fine 8.0, veryfine/near mint 9.0 and near mint minus 9.2.

Most older comics grade between 2.0 and 6.0 so you only need $5400 Captain Hero! (and to find a copy in 6.0 for sale at the guide price, both would be a neat trick!)

My personal goal is to replace all my comics that grade less than 4.0 I still have 161 comics on that want list. I have another list of 83 comics to have my collection at least 6.0 from March 1976 up.

Very cool!
Nice and portable.

$34,000 for a 9.0 Archie #1?  hahaha! You have to love the price guide.  I bet it would get 3-6 times that at a Heritage auction!

Something interesting.  I notice some odd issues at higher prices (#326 stands out).  Are these special issues or appearances?  Now I just HAVE to go look!
No matter where I go, there I am.  Creepy.

#326 is an early Cheryl appearance, you'll see several titles with bumps in them for early Cheryl stories.

well 9.2 is listed at 34K, but you are right an Archie #1 in any higher grade would get many multiples of guide. Even low grades usually sell at well above guide values (#2-9 also)

Here's page three

Great checklists, Forsythe. Did you create these or did they come from somewhere?

Hey Jack:

I see you're doing some price variants, but not others (specifically, I didn't see the price variants for the Triple Giant and its ilk).

For those who are curious, there are both $1.25 and $0.95 variants for those books. The interesting thing is that the earlier price was the higher one and was subsequently lowered.

All created by me! :)

Yeah, I'm not sure why I care about the price variants on the Spire, maybe since some of them have printings that are years apart?

I've got $1.25 versions and $0.98 versions and many with varying interiors.

heres page six
