  • Biollante: probalby, but 59 percent is considered a "blow out" in political terms, some people are on shaky ground right now, there was evne a conservative pollset that worked for Bush warning people that if Republicans are against things like gay marriage in the near future, they would endure catastrophic losses, I don't know if it's this political cycle, but the paradigm shift already happened a while ago

  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.
    May 21, 2012, 07:57:37 AM
  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: Joe Quesada was drawing Thor on some Disney promo, and he drew him flying with his hammer on his side, now I'm not a Thor junkie, but isn't that actualy inaccurate, doesn't he fly by being dragged by his hammer???

Hello fellow Archie fans,
I was looking through my collection yesterday when I found my Archie All Canadian Digest (No.1) comic. I found this thread and discovered that there were Archie fans looking for it. I have one in mint condition...no creases in the spine. Can anyone give me advice on where/how I can sell it?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum :)

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been fairly busy lately.

Your best option would probably be eBay. That way you can set the price and make a bigger profit.

I'd be interested in it as well.  So if you do place it on eBay - let us know!  I'm not sure how much it would go for, but I'd be willing to pay $20 or so if I found one.
No matter where I go, there I am.  Creepy.

Frank, did you want me to look for it at the used book store I haunt sometimes?  I know I've seen a copy there once in a blue moon...

...consider it a gesture for sending me a copy of Archie #600 earlier.  :)

I dislike eBay and all their fees...so if anyone is interested they can send an offer to me at
the.postage.stamp@gmail.com
and I would be happy to ship the item out.
Let's set a deadline of Friday, December 11th. Will arrange payment through PayPal to protect both parties.
It's the Archie All Canadian Digest and it's in mint condition with sharp corners, no rips, no tears, no spine creases.

GA!  I need to login more.  Yes - I DO want a copy of this book.  I'll be happy to send $20 for a mint condition copy.  (I'm not a real stickler on what is "mint" - I just want a fairly new-ish copy without tears, writing bends and buckles).
No matter where I go, there I am.  Creepy.

Hey Guys,

I bought a copy when I was 12yrs old thinking it would be valuable one day.  Even a child can tell the concept wouldn't take off.  I've had it wrapped in plastic and put away all this time.  It's in bad ass condition and I'm totally open to sell this thing.. hit me up via email if you'd like to see photos and discuss prices.

All the best,

Dave
