  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

FOR SALE big Archie collection, 1960s-modern, most $1 each!

I’ve been happily reading and collecting Archies for most of my life now but I’m moving soon and space is going to be pretty tight.  So, I’ve decided it’s time to put my comics up for sale.

I listed all the regular-sized/floppy ones I’m selling.   Most are $1 each.  Many giant ones, 1960s, etc. are $1.50.  A few older ones may be $2-$5.

I would estimate the modern ones are roughly Fine to Very Fine and the older ones roughly Fair to Good depending on which grading guide I use.  Ones less than that I’ll let you know and they’ll probably get a discount- around $0.50 each for modern ones and $.50-$1 each for older ones.  There are maybe 100 of these and they are still definitely readable copies.  If you prefer these bargain-priced ones I can pick them out for you.

I have a bunch of digests also and I’ll post them soon.  Feel free to ask me any questions!

Wow...I am literally salivating at this list!

I am most definitely interested in getting some of these!

I'd be interested in anything with Cheryl in it, please.

Betty Cooper + Cheryl Blossom. It's inevitable.

I just sent my list to you through PM's.  There may be some competition though, so I'm willing to substitute some issues if someone else wants them more.

I have none of these anyway, so I'm flexible.  :D

This is awkward...

The first half of the list of issues I asked for were the 80s Cheryl appearances I'm missing.

The Cheryl appearances left that he has but that I already have:

Archie at Riverdale High #98, 103
Archie's Girls Betty and Veronica #327
(Archie Giant Series Magazine) Betty and Veronica Spectacular #530
Everything's Archie #107

Veronica #100 and Betty and Veronica #146 were from your FAQ, so I assume you have them.

Offline Captain Hero

I think the only two that you're looking for 100DollarHeadache that I had on my want list was Veronica #100, and Betty #1...but if you want them more, I'll let you have them and pick two other ones.

I mostly like the Jughead comics anyways, so I'll just pick two more of those, or something.  :)

Course, I'll have to wait until the original poster responds back.

Kinda need them both. Betty for my #1 collection and Veronica for my Cheryl appearances collection.

I didn't realize Cheryl was so popular!

100DollarHeadache- I PMed you about the ones on your list.

Tuxedo Mark- any interest in the other ones 100DollarHeadache mentioned that he already has, or any other specific ones?  I know I've seen several with Cheryl but I can't remember where.  I know I've also seen her in my digests, which I'm still working on a list for, if you're looking for those also.

Offline Captain Hero

I didn't realize Cheryl was so popular!

We have quite a few Cheryl addicts on this board.  :)

I can take her or leave her in most cases, but some are more fanatic than others!

Offline 100DollarHeadache

Thanks for the comics.

The Everything's Archie #1 was graded as described. The 80s Cheryl stuff was in the Very Good / Fine range and the modern issues were Very Fine / Near Mint.

Offline cmqcomics

Really?  Thanks for the feedback.  I'm not confident in my grading skills so I would have low balled it.

Offline 100DollarHeadache

Better to undergrade than overgrade.
