  • Biollante: probalby, but 59 percent is considered a "blow out" in political terms, some people are on shaky ground right now, there was evne a conservative pollset that worked for Bush warning people that if Republicans are against things like gay marriage in the near future, they would endure catastrophic losses, I don't know if it's this political cycle, but the paradigm shift already happened a while ago

  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

*DIGESTS GONE* Selling my collection from 1986-1989
« on: May 24, 2011, 10:24:37 PM »
**Hi! I still have a bunch of these for sale.  Updated issues are below. Thanks for looking! **

It's with a heavy heart that I must part with my beloved Archies! They've been in a box in my parents' house and now they're moving so they have to go.  I have no idea what to do with them and am wondering if anyone here has any ideas. I've listed all the ones I have below.  Thanks in advance!!

What condition are these in? How much do you want for them?

I might want the "Betty's Diary" issues, depending on the condition and price.

Betty Cooper + Cheryl Blossom. It's inevitable.

Hi everyone! Thanks for your replies.

I'm not a professional grader by any means but I basically just read these comics once when I was a kid and then put them away in a Banker's Box.  They've been in a climate-controlled house ever since.  Unfortunately back then I didn't know to put them in plastic with backer boards, but at any rate there is minimal creasing, they all have covers, etc.  I can take a picture of some of them, or if anyone is interested in particular ones you can email me (is there a way to post your email address?)  I am just looking to sell them for whatever is fair.

I have bought some things on ebay (not comics) but have never sold there.  I do have a bit of feedback based on that -- my user ID is kinipela1

Oh and I'm also located in Canada.

Thanks everyone for your help/interest!

Yeah, if you could post some pics, that would be awesome.  I own all the digests you have, but I'd happily take some of your 32-page comics...specifically the Jughead ones, but I'd always be interested in other titles.

Awesome! Here is a picture of a sample of four of them.  This is pretty much how they all are. The Betty's Diary pictured has a bit more creasing than the others (I LOVED Betty's Diary!)

So, if we are interested, how much would you charge per book (or set?)

I will get back to you...I have to decide what books I specifically want (and come up with a price that doesn't offend you...LOL!)

Ha no problem! Don't worry I am not looking to make a fortune here :)  Just whatever you think is fair.
I can also take pictures of each of the ones you want, so you can "see before you buy" if you'd like.

Well, the good news is that I'm living in Canada as well, so postage won't be nearly so costly!  :D

I will be back.  :D
