  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Biollante: ok so shouldn't Joe Quesada know that? lol  It made him look a bit stupid imo.
    May 21, 2012, 07:57:37 AM
  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)
    May 21, 2012, 07:23:13 AM
  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

  • Biollante: Joe Quesada was drawing Thor on some Disney promo, and he drew him flying with his hammer on his side, now I'm not a Thor junkie, but isn't that actualy inaccurate, doesn't he fly by being dragged by his hammer???

Howdy!

Hello everyone! I'm new to this board! Just found it today, and I found it because I was searching for images of the characters as SuperTeens (for a series of personal sketch cards I'm working on).

My name is Korey. I started reading Archie Comics as a teen-ager. I kept up with Sabrina in my 20's, as well as some digests. Around the time I turned 30 (I'll be 39 next month), I really got back into Archie Comics, as well as other teen-humour comics. Thanks to eBay, I've amassed a respectable collection.

Reggie is my favourite Riverdale Resident! He's awesome! I'm close to having a complete run of his 1950's title, as well as the title as a whole!

I also love Clyde Didit from Josie. He only appeared in 6 issues in the late 1960's, before it became Josie & The Pussycats. Fun character! He recently popped up as a background character in a couple of the new digests stories.

I like other non-Archie teen humour from days gone by, such as Tippy Teen, Binky, Debbi, Scooter, Harvey, Millie The Model, Patsy Walker, etc...

As for me, I'm an artist and photographer. I do some web-strips, and I'm currently at work on some comics I plan to self publish.

Welcome to the boards, dynakor! I look forward to seeing your rendition of Captain Hero, Pure Heart and Super Teen... I'm sure, since you're fond of Reggie, you'll also be drawing his Evil (but, only slightly) Heart. :)

Best of luck on the comics you're working on and welcome, once again, to the site! :)

Welcome!  It's addictive for us Archie fans.  There always seems to be something new to discuss and discover.

Hello...I'm close to your age (I'm 37.):)

Enjoy your stay here.

I'm 42 - there are a few of us "old kids" around :)  - although, I'm also happy to say that this board does seem to be pretty self-regulating and suitable for all ages.  My daughter is only 7, but as she gets older, I certainly wouldn't have any problem with her joining the discussions here.

You'll find some conversations and ancient history, and some on what is happening in the future.

Lot's of fun!
