  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

I Googled it.  It's weird, it was only a week ago, but now I can't remember what Archie fact I was looking for when I stumbled on this forum!

By the way, I can't stop clicking on the random images.  Those are so cool!

I found it through a chan (don't remember which one, but I have a feeling it's 4chan, 18chan, or that new one Sintachan.) They were thinking of raiding this place, but apparently the thread was taken down due to people spamming "OH GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" all over it. I'm glad this forum didn't get raided, though.

I found this board through Bing search engine. Before that I discovered the Archie Comics site, was disappointed that it didn't have a message board.

I found this board by actively searching for it. Always been an Archie fan, as it was one of the first comics I read and drew as a kid. Right now on my blog at
