  • Steveinthecity: When Thor pulls the hammer back to throw, his momentum stops. He has always been able to float or hover once airborne, and he'll remain until the hammer comes back to him.  I guess the winds keep him aloft.

  • Jabroniville: Yeah, that's odd- Thor usually has the Hammer out in front. Though I don't think it's ever explained how he can throw it while in mid-flight and not just plummet like a goof. I wish artists would stop having him do things like that :)

  • Steveinthecity: @Biolante:  Thor uses the hammer to fly. He can throw his hammer during flight and float in one spot until the hammer returns to him. Don't know what Joe Q. was thinking there. I've never seen Thor fly on his own.

As I mentioned in the intro section, I have been a longtime comics reader. But I never really got into Archie books. On a comics forum I frequent, there was a section about Archie collected editions. I got to reading it, and I became curious. So I ordered Best of Dan Decarlo vol2 -- vol 1 was already OOP and wicked expensive. It was funny and silly, but most importantly, Betty and Veronica was so gorgeous that I had to have more.

So I went on the iPhone app and grabbed Best of Archie, Christmas Classics, and Life With Archie #1. I figured it would be a nice intro historically as well as a great taste of the biggest Archie story in years.

Just starting to read them, and I love them. Better late than never.




Incidentally, I love love love the Josie & the Pussycats movie -- I have seen it quite a few times. That Rachel Leigh Cook -- what a cutie!

Didn't know they were releasing that.  I'll have to buy it, and it's sure to be better than the the other "Best of" for Josie and the Pussycats that looked like it was re-colored in MS Paint.  lol
