It didn't sell the first time around. What makes people think it will now? ???

New approach? New number one issue to grab attention?

I also think something new in the Classic art style is going to boost digital sales on this. Avid fans of Archie comics still seem to want the Classic style and this seems to be the only chance right now for something new in that style for now.

Why is Shrill involved in the comic, I didn't think she even knew Kevin. What Kevin's friends Wendy & William. And what about his relationship with boy he dated in school. Was it Devon?

Kevin and Devon broke up. That's not Shrill.

According to the interview, that is indeed Shrill.

As to why she's there? They've become friends since high school? They go to the same college? I'm sure we'll find out in a couple of months.

Yeah, I suppose. Well, she doesn't look like Shrill, but I guess people change, and don't wear the same kind of clothes they did in high school. Apparently she also stopped wearing contacts and decided to wear regular glasses. She went from being "Riverdale goth" to "artnerd".

She still has the black lipstick.

This is Shrill!

She still has the black and white hairs!

Another cover:

Kevin looks like he's been pumping the iron lately.

I don't recall if it was stated elsewhere in this thread, but "Life With Kevin" will be a four issue mini-series.

I do wish Dan and J. Bone all the best with this and will be buying the print version when it turns up, but I have no interest in digital comics, I'm afraid

Gotta say that I liked Shrill's old look better. I wish the original version of her had been in more stories.

Shrill has grown up a little which could mean some of the change in appearance, but you can definitely still see she has some of that inner Goth left in her.

"Life with Kevin is a new digital series starring Kevin Keller, written and drawn by his creator, Dan Parent, with inks by J. Bone. Unlike the previous Kevin Keller series, this book takes place after Kevin has graduated from college and moved to New York, where he has a whole new set of challenges as a young man getting on his feet and looking for love. The series also features Veronica Lodge, as well as minor Archie character Shrill, and some new love interests for Kevin. Life with Kevin will be available this June."
Lessie here.....

Kevin, Gay, Ripped, in New York and looking for love..... ;D

We all know how this is going to come out  :knuppel2:

Now I'm wondering if Dan considers her more Goth or Emo. There's some possible overlap there, but the older Shrill is definitely leaning more on the Emo side.
