Oldiesmann: Interesting to see they're bring Wilbur Wilkin back from the dead again. I remember them making a big deal of it when they suddenly decided he was Jughead's cousin years ago - only for him to vanish again, much like Jellybean

Tuxedo Mark: How absolutely pathetic. Five items, three of which are entirely reprints. Only two new 5-page stories for the entire month. Only two of the four "main" digests. And the story in the girls' digest features Bingo and Pureheart.

How would you write Archie?

Some things to keep in mind when planning a title:

The amount of time in a teen's week that's spent at school versus at home (and awake). When I went to school, I rode the bus, so that was around an extra hour on each side of the school day, because there were so many side streets to go down. Also, sometimes the driver had to talk with parents at the bus stop or just stop the bus to make/take a call over the radio. Sometimes, that meant getting to school late or back home later than usual. Going by my foggy memories, It seems roughly 7-4 was bus/school, and then 4-10 was home (had to go to bed early and get up around 6). At school (roughly 8-3), there were homeroom, seven periods, lunch, and a few minutes between each to get to your next location. I'd say, in a given week, roughly 40% of my waking time was bus/school, and the other 60% was home (including getting ready for school and studying/homework). Of course, I never did any extra-curricular activities.

These days, teens (and kids) tend to spend time with each other on social media or a gaming platform, which lessens the need for them to "hang out" with each other in person, and they certainly wouldn't be hanging out at the mall or the local soda shop / burger joint. Honestly, based on what I've read while browsing teen forums, if girls are hanging out with their friends (whether male or female), they're likely having sex (of every imaginable kind) and drinking their parents' liquor.

I don't think I've ever seen quite that level of reality in an Archie story, Mark. Probably because most of a teenager's day is actually quite boring, at least to read about.

If I owned Archie Comics I would hire Gabbie Gross to do a Reggie comic. She loves him.  I don't think it's fair that he doesn't have a comic while all the others do.

I missed this post or I would have replied sooner BettyReggie, I bet Gabbie would be a great choice, sadly apart from our dreams there will probably not be a Reggie title anytime soon. The woman who wrote Archie vs. Predator, Alex de Campi, suggested to ACP that she start one for him but they turned her down, either they just don't want Reggie to have a title or it's too expensive for them to make one.  :(
