Just anything you want to say about ol' needle-nose' needle nose.

To start us off: is that why all his voice actors have really nasally voices?

I hate the voice actors they usually give Jughead. I don't care if it's supposed to sound funny or not. It's just annoying and grating to listen to.

Because that's what's traditionally signifying the "comic relief" character in any ensemble cast. The "funny" character gets the funny voice, the funny expressions, and the funny mode of dress. That goes way back in popular fiction and any kind of theater. It became particularly important during the era of radio plays, because the vocal mode of delivery was the primary means of characterization. Animated cartoons are sort of like illustrated radio plays, so they are the offspring of that tradition.

Jughead's related to Ms. Grundy! They both have the same type of nose!  :2funny:  Wait--Mr. Weatherbee does as well... :2funny:

Ms. Grundy may possibly be related to Sabrina's Aunt Hilda (before she received the last name Spellman), since apart from their hair and manner of dress, they both look identical. But wait, that would be like saying that Betty and Veronica are related, as well...  ::)

My favorite voice of Jughead has to be the one from the 1940s radio shows. I'm not sure which of the few voice actors (Harlan Stone, Cameron Andrews, or Arnold Stang) they used did the episode "Too Hot to Sleep" but that has to be one of the most hysterical ones. Jughead's "Relax, Archie, Relaaaax" always has me smiling.

I hate Jug's voice in most stuff they make him in! I don't know if it's my sense of humor that's the problem or what but annoying voices aren't funny when you have to constantly hear them!

The big problem in animations is that an actor/actress usually does more than one character voice. I will say one thing for the 1968 animated 'The Archie Show'. For the voice of Jughead they got a good one! Howard Morris! Who did Moose, Jughead & Dilton in the show But howard Morris will forever be known as Ernest T. Bass in 'The Andy Griffith Show'. Someone mentioned the radio shows from the 40's & 50's. You'll notice that the character voices from the first animated series are patterned almost exactly like those in the radio series. A famous classic tv character came out of the radio shows. Bob Hastings. He played Lt. Elroy Carpenter on the 1960's show 'McHale's Navy'.
