The big news today is that "at least one major Riverdale resident" is going to be killed off in Archie #20 and the identity of that character will be revealed in Archie #21.

Archie #20 will feature a drag race between Archie and Reggie on Dead Man's Curve. In #21, the people of Riverdale will learn that someone will die in that drag race!!

Will it be Archie Andrews? Maybe Kevin Keller wanders onto the street and Archie jumps out his own vehicle to save his friend from death!!

Will it be Reggie Mantle? Maybe Riverdale's resident bad-boy will swerve to avoid Hot Dog or Vader and hit a tree!!

Or maybe one of them will hit another Riverdale regular!! Moose... Midge... Dilton... Jason... Cheryl... Jellybean... Mr. Weatherbee... Ms. Grundy... Mr. or Mrs. Andrews...

Who do you think will die in this upcoming storyline?

Personally, I think it would be more of a game-changer in multiple ways if one of the boys lost a parent (or both) as a result of their drag race.

I don't think it will be any of the core 5. 

I like your idea of it being a parent, but this series is already serious enough, and losing a parent would take it into even more depressing territory.   But then I guess anyone dying is going to make it depressing. 

I'm stumped.

I'm just looking forward the drag race! 

Hopefully, it will be Archie management.  Now that would be a game changer!

Only if it's combined with a hackneyed gun control storyline.  Because as Archie's middle-aged liberal heterosexual writers know, LGBT in the military hate guns!  That's why they're in the military after all, to steal all the guns and bury them so no one can use them anymore.

I already preorder Archie #20 it was the one with Dilton & Betty & Archie. So the numbering is wrong. I tweeted Alex Segura about it. He liked my tweet. I hope they fix their mistake.

Archie Comics said on Facebook that these are the new covers for issue 20.  They're not using the originally soliticed Dilton/Betty/Archie covers.

My suspects for the death are as fallowed(in order of Most likley to happen
)
1.One of the minor character and any chance Reggie and Archie having any kind of Friendship in this reboot   Note: I am aware that Reggie the Friend part of Reggie's and Archie Friend part of there  Friendlemness is already non existent in this reboot and that there is already zero chance of the revisiting ever, but it will be the final nail in the coffin so to speak.  At least there is still the digest(They can't refuse to reprint them all)
2. Reggie. Despite getting his own series which had to be turned into a miniseries because a failure to succeed again.  Reggie is the eyes of the publisher and many people outside the fandom  a  minor character. He has no mutual best friends and his parents have least amount appearance out of all what many Archie fans consider the main five.Therfore easy to take out of the strip and replace with another Reggie clone because every series need a villain.
3. Betty , Jughead ,Veronica. Nothing to get media 's attention like good old main character. Although all these characters are far out harms reach some are slightly more of harm reach than others. Jughead would be the most likely out three since not a part of main love triangle and  a  Lovely way for Archie to bury asexuals ,   , second place goes to Veronica  since She is the only in the Love Triangle to not have a series.
1. Archie , it helped temporally boast sales once , It can do again. But seriously unless they want to cancel the title. This one is not going to happen.
