  • DeCarlo Rules: So let me see if I've got this right... The confusingly-titled Archie: The Married Life 10th Anniversary is NOT a sequel to any part of the 37-issue run of "The Married Life" in Life With Archie Magazine. But it IS a sequel (10 years on ) to ARCHIE #600 to 606, "Archie Marries".

  • DeCarlo Rules: Ironically Dan Parent was not really involved with the LIFE WITH ARCHIE series at all although he did do ARCHIE #606, the epilogue to "Archie Marries". It's a little confusing now, since this new series is yet another parallel universe where Archie Andrews didn't die... or maybe two of them.

  • DeCarlo Rules: After Archie Meets Batman '66, I was wondering whether that was it for long-form classic Archie stories. So it's nice to see The Married Life again, even if it's only a 6-issue epilogue.

Veronica Fish Leaves Archie

QuoteIndustry sources tell me that regular Archie artist Veronica Fish is no longer the artist on the ongoing title written by Mark Waid.

She will still create covers and similar illustrations for Archie Comics but will no longer be the title's penciller after Archie #10, out on July 27th

More info here:
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/07/12/scoop-veronica-fish-leaves-archie-name-replacement-to-be-sought-at-san-diego/

QuoteSo for Archie #11 and #12 the next two issues, frequent Archie variant cover artist Thomas Pitilli will step in to join Waid, with help on breakdowns from Ryan Jampole.

The art looks to be very much in the "New Riverdale" style, and should hold the fort for a bit. See examples from Pitilli and Jampole below that Bleeding Cool has stumbled across.

Fish is hopping back over to Marvel for Spider-Woman. No telling how long that'll last though. Glad she found work quickly though.

BettyReggie

I can't wait for Thomas's issues. He is an awesome artist.

PixyJunket

Bummer! I love Veronica Fish's work on Archie, and she's leaving right before Cheryl comes back, boo.

I'm sorry she's leaving, even though I'm not reading the reboot anymore she did a good job, who knows what they'll get next full time.

PixyJunket

I wonder if they are planning on rotating artists or are they having trouble keeping people?

I figured Fiona Staples was the "big name" for the initial launch, but I really felt like Veronica Fish was going to have a nice long run.
