  • DeCarlo Rules: It's crazy that ACP hasn't reprinted those 2 issues as a double-size one-shot. Or the lead story in a TP collection of vampire stories (including "Twilite" and others).
    November 04, 2018, 03:21:35 am
  • irishmoxie: That's crazy about those Betty and Veronica issues being worth so much. They're only about 6 years old. I'm pretty sure I have copies of them.
    November 04, 2018, 01:36:00 am
  • DeCarlo Rules: On a relatated note, the real FIRST Vampironica appeared in Larry Welz' underground comic Cherry Poptart #1 [link]. That can be had right now, CGCed at 9.4, at the Buy-It-Now price of $280 on ebay. Although the book had several subsequent printings, only the first printing ($2 cover price) contains the Vampironica story. Much, much scarcer than B&V #261 & 262, but then far fewer people seem to be aware of its existence. It may not be the same Vampironica as the one that appears in her own comic book from ACP, but then you can easily make the argument that neither is the Vampironica from B&V 261-262.

  • rusty: Crazy.  I obviously missed that back then.
    November 03, 2018, 10:06:11 pm
  • DeCarlo Rules: Yes, I mentioned this a while back somewhere around the time Vampironica #1 was first solicted or shipped. I even mentioned it to Dan Parent and told him if he still had copies he should get them CGC'ed.
    November 03, 2018, 04:33:03 pm
  • rusty: Apparently Betty and Veronica #261 and 262 (1987 series) are popular now due to Vampironica.  Somebody actually purchased a copy of #261 for $299 on ebay recently.

I'm feelin' it tonight, baby! Just saw the season premiere of Rick and Morty (a great April Fools joke by Adult Swim), and it put me in a good mood for more stuff, this in my second album! Enjoy!  8)

Interesting. I don't follow the connection, but if watching Rick & Morty makes you want to upload more Archie Comics stories, so be it!

I can't even imagine what a thread about Rick & Morty's "character ethics" would be like...

By the way, I sometimes slip a few new things in my album(s) every other day or so. Take today for instance....  :D

Got a nice stash uploaded today in my second album! Goldberg-drawn Action Archie and Chuck goodies that include a Riverdale blizzard and earthquake (though both not in the same story, and the earthquake isn't even the main plot--go figure), Melody encourages a boy stalker, a Jughead story, and more! Enjoy!  ;D

I laid it on really thick today in my second album. Got some pretty good stories (to me). Some include Moose, with one that will stand out, a Goldberg Action Archie one. Hint: Watch how the cop reacts. That's all I'm going to say about that.  :2funny:  Plus Reggie kisses Moose in another story!  :2funny:  Also Betty, Josie, and Jughead stories! Enjoy!

I decided to do it a little different with my newest batch of uploads: A plentiful plethora (our word for the day) of SIXTEEN digest covers, all in my second album! I hope there are no duplicates. If so, somebody please let me know. Enjoy!  :D

125 is a nice number, I think. Try 124 covers of digests and a surprise cover not associated with ACP. All of these are in my second album. Also, three stories added to my first album. Enjoy!  :D

I just can't stop myself!  ;D Cheryl Blossom takes center stage story wise in several stories via my first album (which she wouldn't mind, of course). Enjoy!  :D

ReadEmNWeep was hilarious.  ;D  Would have been better if those were bondage, S&M, or any other fetish mags.  :coolsmiley:

My second album has some stuff uploaded! Usually, Jughead and Archie teaming up on Reggie leaves Reggie looking like a fool, but not this time! Plus, some Betty and Ronica, and a "scary" Josie and the Pussycats story! Enjoy!  :D

A whole buncha stuff added to my second album, with several (hopefully) pretty good stories (like Jughead meeting his cousin Bingo), and some more digest covers! Enjoy!  :D
