  • DeCarlo Rules: It seems like they put extras on a disc because people expect them, or it helps drive sales, but more often than not, it seems like very little thought goes into the content. Of course there are some examples where the extras are exceptional, but usually that's not the case.

  • irishmoxie: I love digital movies and streaming. I usually get the Blu-ray Disc because I like to watch the extras the first time and then end up adding the digital code online or rip it and put it on the hard drive. Just much more convenient to stream it then search for the disc when I want to watch it.

  • DeCarlo Rules: On the other hand, maybe I should just bypass the Blu-Ray format altogether, buy a huge terabyte HD, and download everything. There's something to be said for that, in that you can get everything quicker and stacks of Blu-Ray cases aren't taking up space in your house, I guess.

  • DeCarlo Rules: This coming from a guy who still hasn't capitulated to the inevitable domination of Blu-Ray. It's getting to the point where I might have to relent, since I've seen some anime sets being released for the first time on Blu-Ray (no combo pak) with NO release of a DVD version.

  • DeCarlo Rules: I'll never get used to people not being able to wait a few days when they order stuff online. I guess maybe I could understand it IF it were something that there was no other way to see, but I assume you've already seen the episodes.  People who are that impatient usually don't even buy disc sets, they just buy it digitally or stream it.

Just a suggestion, SAGG... you can take it or leave it. The albums are unusually large, which makes them harder to navigate if someone's looking for some particular type of story. Might I suggest you break those large albums up into smaller albums, sorted by whatever means seems to make the most sense to you? By characters, artists, decades, or whatever... and then name them accordingly. If all you did was just to break those 2 big albums down into smaller ones of around 250-300 pages it would be a lot easier to navigate, even if you didn't try to organize the stories in any way.

Right now what you've got is 2 monolithic ARCHIE UltraMEGA-Ginormous-palooza 1100-1200+ Page Comics Digests.
An interesting suggestion, DR. Maybe I'll slice the second album in half, or by quarters....  :coolsmiley:

Three stories added to my third album. Just hit the sorting direction in the lower right corner from A to Z to read them left to right. Enjoy!  :D

Cute little B&V DeCarlo-drawn story added to my third album! Be sure to use the directional sort in the lower right corner to read it from left to right (A-Z). Enjoy!

A Betty's Diary story added based on a recent thread of the origins of The Gang's names that seems to have been deleted. I thought it would have been fitting for that thread. Third album. Enjoy!  :D

"Music For the Masses" is drawn by Rex Lindsay, not Pat Kennedy. In fact, while you may be able to find a few exceptions to this rule, JOSIE over the course of its history has really mainly been the product of only 4 pencilers... Dan DeCarlo and Stan Goldberg (from 1963-1982 in Josie's 1st series), then as a backup feature from the mid-1980s through most of the 1990s, pretty much Stan Goldberg by himself (although Al Bigley did a few, and DeCarlo drew some new stories for the two issues of JOSIE volume 2), and then during the heyday of the Pussycats being promoted to the lead feature in ARCHIE & FRIENDS in anticipation of the characters appearing in their own feature film, first Rex Lindsay and then Holly Golightly. When the movie came and went and failed to greatly increase the number of new JOSIE readers, it reverted to a backup feature in A&F once more, with Rex Lindsay and Stan Goldberg sharing the penciling duties between them for a little while, although eventually, Rex moved on so he could devote most of his time to JUGHEAD, and Stan finished out the run of the feature in A&F (which only lasted until Tania Del Rio briefly turned it into a manga, just before the 100th issue). In terms of page counts, the total number of pages of JOSIE stories contributed by pencilers other than those four (not counting their guest appearances in ARCHIE, of course) is pretty negligible. In fact, even Rex and Holly's number of pages don't add up to much when compared to Dan and Stan's.

My apologies, DR. Thank you for the correction.  :-[ I got the two mixed up. Why did I do that?  ??? :idiot2: :D
