  • DeCarlo Rules: For a character franchise that's been running for 75+ years, ARCHIE really has a pretty small cast of regulars. Apart from the core 5 and the other 6 already mentioned, there's Cheryl & Jason and Kevin... and (filed under "extended supporting players") the teachers and parents. That's pretty much it. 14 teen characters and their parents & teachers. Sabrina and Josie and their supporting casts coexist in Riverdale, but they're really their own separate franchises. If your murder victims turn out to be Jinx Malloy and Cricket O'Dell, there's not much drama in it, beyond a shrug.

  • DeCarlo Rules: Why Moose and Midge? Good question... let me know if you can think of any other ongoing characters who are more expendable, but still well-known. I guess the other likely candidates would be Dilton and Ethel, or Chuck and Nancy. I guess you could come up with a short list of other names, but are they really that well-known? Ms. Grundy was a total surprise!

  • CAPalace: Seriously though why are Moose and Midge like one of the first people to die whenever they are in the horror stories line and now Riverdale lol
    October 20, 2017, 12:36:49 PM
  • Tuxedo Mark: I recently watched Geek House's reaction to the episode. They're very amateur. They often leave in false starts and farting around before the actual intro. Joey often struggles with the episode title, like he can't just look it up before they start recording. Joey has to announce that he's putting the video into full screen and then does a countdown. Cut all of that stuff out! In the new review, he and his wife didn't react at all to Moose and Midge being killed. It soon became apparent that they didn't even know it was Moose and Midge! Joey referred to them as the "drug addicts".

  • Vegan Jughead: I don't think Moose and Midge are dead.  I hope not.  It's one thing to kill Jason Blossom.  Killing two characters who have been around for 68 years is something else entirely.

Would you buy this?

I wanted to know if people were interested if Reggie was to have a comic now? I wish he did. I always feel he's left out of the group. If Josie & The Pussycats can have comic why can't he? Sabrina has a comic too.

Sure, I'd buy it.  I've got a complete set of Archie's Rival Reggie/Reggie and Me as well as Reggie's Wise-Guy Jokes.

I wouldn't buy a New Riverdale Reggie comic book, but I'd buy a reprint of his original series if Dark Horse decided to do a REGGIE ARCHIVES.

I would.  Make it a digest!!!

Well, if they could make a profit off a digest just by selling it to the people on this forum, they'd have done it already. Not even Josie or Sabrina get their own digests, and they're bigger stars than Reggie. The fact that they never even did a print version of the digital exclusive miniseries, REGGIE AND ME, should be telling you something. Sad, but them's the facts.

I'd buy a Dilton digest too, but then I guess I'm not the typical Archie customer. The typical Archie customer just doesn't care enough about Reggie, or Josie or Sabrina or Dilton or Chuck. Heck, the typical Archie customers aren't buying enough copies of JUGHEAD AND ARCHIE digests for them to publish it more than 6 times a year. JUGHEAD!!

Poor Reggie, he always left out. All those Archie #1 covers is he on any of them of them? No he is not. I love Reggie that's why all my commissions have Reggie on them. But I'm getting one of Jughead from Gabbie Gross. I have Reggie & Betty on 2 of them. One with Harper & Reggie. Don't you wish when Harper was introduced we saw them on a cover together? That's why I asked Dan Parent to put Reggie on Harper's lap.

I'd buy a new Reggie comic, but I'd grumble quite a bit.

I'd think it should be done in the more classic style (art-wise) and show Reggie as an arrogant, egotistical prankster.

I think there are plenty of great things they could do with Reggie and feel if fans didn't see him as so much of a creep they would buy a comic solely for him. The rivalry between him and Archie is great. Throw in his feuds with Jughead and his scrapes with Moose and that is just a start of it. I would definitely buy it in a Digest form as like I said right now the Digests give me more bang for the buck and are way more beneficial to me.

My prayers have brave answered. Now Reggie is going have a comic in December. I really hope it survives & last more than 1 issue. I preordered 5 regular comics & 2 blanks.

With the second Reggie & Me coming in January. It's awesome because Chip Zdarsky did a cover. I love it . Reggie actually looks like he can be in Sex Criminals which is book that Chip does. I have all the covers that Chip did. I can't wait to hang up his Archie #1 & Jughead #1 & B &V 1 along with his Reggie's on my wall in January.
