Oldiesmann: Just spent $16 to buy all 5 issues of the Archie '55 miniseries on eBay. Not sure how I missed that when it was released, but they apparently never made a TPB of it like they did with Archie 1941 either.

Stories from 256 Double Digests harder to find?

My collection of double digests pre-2000 are almost complete now and I've realized something. Stories printed in the 256 page Double Digests (from 1983-1991) are hardly reprinted in the newer digests and double digests (circa 2000-present). Unlike the Stories in the digests and double digest beyond 1997 they are regularly reprinted from time to time most even have a pattern.

That's why i prefer reading the older double digests than the ones released beyond 2000, the stories are much rare.

DeCarlo Rules

Not coincidentally, that seems to be right around the time they started converting some of their comics to digital, and it seems like they haven't bothered at any serious attempt to convert comics from the early 1990s and earlier. At any rate, the digests seem to concentrate the bulk of their reprinting to stories from the past couple of decades, more or less, apart from special collections like The Best of Archie Comics, Best of the Forties, Fifties, Sixties, etc.
