Oldiesmann: Interesting to see they're bring Wilbur Wilkin back from the dead again. I remember them making a big deal of it when they suddenly decided he was Jughead's cousin years ago - only for him to vanish again, much like Jellybean

Oldiesmann: I miss the days of floppies with there or four new stories each. I'll take that over digests any day

Tuxedo Mark: How absolutely pathetic. Five items, three of which are entirely reprints. Only two new 5-page stories for the entire month. Only two of the four "main" digests. And the story in the girls' digest features Bingo and Pureheart.

And I'm back as well ...  Some info may be cached by google et al  (internet wayback) but you'd really have to know what you were looking for to have a hope ... @ PTF do you have copies of your fanfic offline?

I'd give the wiki a shot — with some advertising ... didn't know it was there (or what it was for?)

Yeah, I have all my fan fics on a flash drive.
That whole section of the forum was something I'd meant to check out ... never seemed to have the time, and put it off for "later" ...  :'(

Asdfghjkl

Hey, guys!  I am finally back on the site!  So glad it's back!  I missed coming here so much!

Hello! I think I need to make a certain amount of posts before I can put up a new profile pic or accept friend requests.

invisifan

5 for pics.  Don't know if friends are dependent though ...

At the rate I post at, I'll be a newbie for the next 10 years...

... and for some silly reason, I can't figure out how to add friends :(

daren

Thanks for bringing the forum back Oldiesmann, and for looking into what I pm'ed you.

The buddies/friends thing must be tied in with some other profile-related permission. I'll look into it more tomorrow when I'm not half asleep.

TeamBlossom

I've decided to make the most of this with a new identity.

That said, it's still sad that a lot of Archie-related information was lost in the crash.

Yes, hopefully we can reupload some of it.  I myself have some that I can reupload if needed.

Original Sin

Thanks for getting the site back up, Oldiesmann.

Thrillho

I had no idea this happened.  :o  Really bummed about the gallery and all the old threads with all the great stories, especially the Betty is crazy collection, but it's nice to have a fresh start.

By the way, this is BrightestDay under a new username, didn't really care for the old one. It's a Simpsons joke.

longtermarchie101

R I P archiecomics 1939 - 2016.

I'm happy to report that the forum is finally back online after nearly a week. Unfortunately, all posts and other data was lost due to a series of hardware failures and no backups (the host claimed to do nightly backups but for whatever reason that option was never enabled on the server).

Everything should be pretty much the way it was, although the gallery will be returning later (I've opted to go to a more integrated gallery option this time rather than using an external system as we had before), and I haven't yet decided if I'm going to put a wiki back up since it wasn't used much to begin with.

Please let me know if you run into any problems or have any questions. Have fun!

richard

Glad that you are back.
I have a grievance regarding your commemorative edition The Best of Archie Comics 75 years 75 stories.
Did you know that pages 513 to 544 are repeated in the  comic and pages 545 to 576 are missing?
Seems that somebody did not check before the print was run.
Richard.

Hi richard, you have to complain directly to Archie Comics for that (and you should--that sucks): www.archiecomics.com. This is an independent forum.
