I remember reading a couple stories where Veronica is in the bathtub and Betty is right there just staring with a smile on her face. It was by DeCarlo so I am guessing it was intentional  :-\

Hard to forget, since Steve only posted that DeCarlo cover of Betty & Veronica #6 about a week ago...  ;D

Oh yeah, there's that cover but then there are also some stories. I wish I could remember where I saw them so I could post them.

Here Betty goes old school.  No crystals, no liquids or gels.  If the Cooper household is typical of others in the US regarding their choice of cosmetic and grooming products, there is an over 50% chance Betty is using a bar of Dove.

Just wondering if others toss the bar into the tub ahead of themselves getting in?

Well, since she's thinking "cheap" and "plain", I would say Ivory soap. Can't get much more "basic soap" than that. Furthermore, IIRC, Ivory soap is a simple flat rectangular brick, whereas Dove soap is kind of oval-shaped and (I think) curved rather than flat. Dove soap would probably make more sense for a teenage girl since it has some fragrance to it and contains emollients more gentle to the skin, but as far as bar soaps go, I wouldn't consider Dove soap cheap and plain. Definitely less cheap and plain than Ivory soap, and even less cheap and plain than many middle-of-the-road soap brands like Irish Spring or Zest.

When I had used soap, I preferred Dial or Safeguard...

I stand corrected.

I use Shower Gels from Bath & Bodyworks in the shower , we have lots of them. In my room we have a white book case full Bath & Bodyworks shower gels & lotions & perfumes.

Nothing here regarding soap is particularly worthy of mention imo, other than soap of any sort isn't apparently being used at all.

Other questions abound, though.  How is Archie seemingly suspended 3-4 feet in the air?  How does this event concern Mr. Lodge, how does he happen upon it, and how many times has he witnessed this sort of thing(as implied by his "them again" comment)?

I'm certain many have questions of your own pertaining to the resilience of Jughead's felt hat in the water, or how Archie's shin connects to his foot, that strap thing on Mr. Lodge's foot, etc.  Please post any queries or insights so that we might further interpret the overall value of this panel relative to what we already know pertaining to Archie's rich history in comic books.

The single thing of greatest concern to me in the picture above would be the leg going over Reggie's arm. Well, I think it's supposed to be a leg. Hard to tell, since it's missing a foot... so it might well be an arm, for all I know. At first glance, you'd presume this to be Jughead's leg, except when you look at it closely, there's absolutely no way that that limb can be connected to Jughead's hip. Then it passes behind Reggie's leg, and you should be able to see a foot (or a hand) connected to it, underneath Reggie's leg, but there's nothing there.
