  • DeCarlo Rules: Jughead's Time Police #1 is out next week, along with Archie & Sabrina Part 1 (#705). Looking forward to the former, while my interest in ARCHIE has waned since #700... I guess I'll still read it just to see what they do with Sabrina, but the plot already seems too padded-out for my liking.

  • DeCarlo Rules: Collectively, it seems like they've put out more horror titles than anything else since cancelling the classic ARCHIE and B&V titles, Maybe it's just easier to do those than to come up with a new spin on an all-ages Archie title.

  • DeCarlo Rules: @ darkmark -- That's the unavoidable conclusion, based on the fact that since AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE and CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA went M.I.A., ACP has been working overtime to keep new horror titles coming down the pipeline. First JUGHEAD THE HUNGER, then VAMPIRONICA, then BLOSSOMS 666,...

Just got this issue of Millie the Model it was 10 dollars pretty good condition a few small rips
Wonder how much it's actually going for

Also she looks like a Cyclops from side view lol

The early-to-mid 1960s MILLIEs are cool, but I don't like them as much as the older ones (1950s, largely the work of Dan DeCarlo, but those are hard to come by in better condition), or the ones from after 1967, when MILLIE got "retro-booted" back to being a teen humor comic. But any of them are good; I just like the ones where the stories are more cartoony/funny than soap-opera/drama better.

Re-reading Harrow County. I just love this series. The writing and art fit perfectly together.

It's kinda like Sabrina ;) but more of a mystery. I first read it without knowing the plot and I think it's better this way. The art is watercolors which adds to the mystery. The writer is Cullen Bunn. Usually I care more about the art than the writing but the writing is really strong in this like a novel.

I finished reading ARCHIE BY BOB MONTANA: THE COMPLETE DAILY NEWSPAPER COMICS 1946-1948. That was really good. Today I got ARCHIE'S PAL JUGHEAD ARCHIVES VOL. 1 hardcover from Dark Horse Comics, which reprints the first 8 issues from 1949-1951, so (after reading this week's current releases) that is what I'll probably be getting into next. After I finish that I plan to get the next ARCHIE BY BOB MONTANA: THE COMPLETE NEWSPAPER COMICS hardcover volume from IDW, which covers the years 1960-1963 (don't ask me why they skipped 1949 through 1959).

GingerGal

Finished Life With Archie #16 and it was very good. Now I am going to read another story about Kevin Keller in Veronica #202. I think it is the first ever appearance of Kevin.

BettyReggie

I read
📖 Lumberjanes #25
📖 Jem & The Holograms #14
📖 Invincible #127

GingerGal

I finished Veronica #202 and now onto Veronica #205 both digital freebies on the app before I go to bed.

So I also noticed with the Life With Archie comic I just read that they had one where where Archie Marries Veronica and one where Archie Mariies Betty. The story line is very similar in ways as it remains that Kevin is getting married, but in Archie Marries Veronica, Betty is with Reggie. It is kind of weird but I somehow like the two different angles.

I'm surprised you were able to figure out what was going on, without knowing too much about the story beforehand, given that this was an issue from the middle of the 37-issue run. I read the whole thing in trade paperback from beginning to end (6 volumes) and there were times I couldn't keep straight what was happening with each character in which story.

It was hard. They had this little description of the major relationships going on in the story before you got into the actual comic. That helped a little bit. I actually liked the Veronica comics I read much better though.
