Archie 1-8. Sadly it doesn't hold up to a reread that well though it goes really fast because each issue is so short. It doesn't help I've never really been a fan of the Archie vs. Mr. Lodge stories and they dragged that out for 8 issues. I also am not a big fan of Reggie the villain and I don't like how they keep withholding info like what Reggie did that was so bad that he didn't want anyone else to know about. Also I noticed a lot happens that they never show. Like Betty and Sayid suddenly start dating. Hopefully the next arc will be better with the music theme. The Pussycats might even make an appearance.

In each issue about one thing happens:
#1 - the one with the dance
#2 - the one where Betty gets a makeover and Mr. Lodge's house falls down
#3 - the one where Veronica vomits at school and Archie falls in love
#4 - the lipstick incident aka emo teen angst issue
#5 - the one where Veronica has a house party; Reggie's Revenge part 1
#6 - the one where Archie gets a concussion; Reggie's Revenge part 2
#7 - the one where Archie works at the newspaper; Reggie's Revenge part 3
#8 - Mr. Lodge finally allows Veronica to date Archie

Never thought I'd say this but I think this series needs more action by Jughead. What happened to Jughead and Betty teaming up to break up Archie and Veronica?? Guess she's too distracted by Sayid now.

Have to say though Fiona Staples still draws my favorite Veronica. She captures that rich girl Blair Waldorf aesthetic better than the others.

Hit and run accident where he killed Hot Dog with his car and fled the scene before anyone saw him? At least, that's the answer in Afterlife With Archie.

I just read Jughead #6 my digital copy. It was just ok, I would give it a B. The other 5 issues were better. I can't we haven't seen Ethel in any of the issues. It seems like they really don't talk about Jughead not liking girls. He was friendly with Betty. And he really can't stand Veronica.

Maybe the new writer and artist will bring Ethel in

I was re-reading Archie and I saw Ethel in a background in a scene. I believe it's the one where Veronica vomits up the sloppy joe.

I was just saying to myself the other day, "You know, there just isn't enough vomiting in comics." Good to see that ACP's addressing that.

Were you also thinking that Veronica was bulemic? Oh, I suppose they might just be trying for physical comedy in that scene (who made the sloppy joe, Pop Tate?), but with the reboot you never know. Bulemia just seems more angst-y, so it would fit. Or maybe it does play as comedy in that scene, and it's only the setup; the angst comes later when it's discovered that she's actually bulemic. I obviously haven't read it, so I'm trying to visualize the context.

I don't think that hard about Archie Comics.  Just enjoying the vomiting for what it is! LOL.  Anytime Archie goes in a John Waters direction, I just have to roll with it!  Ha ha.

It's comedic. An instance of actual comedy in the reboot!
