Oldiesmann: Interesting to see they're bring Wilbur Wilkin back from the dead again. I remember them making a big deal of it when they suddenly decided he was Jughead's cousin years ago - only for him to vanish again, much like Jellybean

Tuxedo Mark: How absolutely pathetic. Five items, three of which are entirely reprints. Only two new 5-page stories for the entire month. Only two of the four "main" digests. And the story in the girls' digest features Bingo and Pureheart.

Most of them are by Barbara Slate.

Can't say that I've read enough of Barbara Slate's stories for Archie Comics to have formed an opinion about her writing one way or the other. I've read more than just a few, but none of them ever struck me as especially outstanding in some way, or particularly bad either. I guess you could say the same about Mike Pellowski's stories... most of them aren't really bad per se, just run of the mill. Some of the scripts can be taken up or down a notch or two depending on the artwork.

Mickey's Craziest Adventures, a 44-page album sized comic https://www.idwpublishing.com/product/mickeys-craziest-adventures/

That one looks like fun! I'll put in on my to-read list.

Outside of Archie, I've caught up a bit on Superman, which is quite interesting. He's the Superman of the previous incarnation, not the current one who just died recently. He's also older, married to Lois, and has a kid, who's developing superpowers.

And then, there's Harley Quinn. Man, I kind of like her character, and what they're doing with her. I sort of like her in her anti-hero role, and not as a mere sexy psycho sidekick girlfriend to the Joker. There's more to her than meets the eye, and she's quite the looker, too...  :smitten: :D

Finished reading Donald Duck: Sheriff of Bullet Valley by Carl Barks.

Maybe I'll read some later, I just focused on my library books today.

"Carl Barks was to Donald Duck what Bob Bolling was to Little Archie." I recall reading that somewhere....  :coolsmiley:

I like that! And just like Dexter Taylor (If you like Dexter's work, I know I do) Don Rosa is pretty damn good too, hehe  :)
