I liked the story/panel threads for characters, particularly "The Betty is Crazy Collection" and "Best of Jughead" also, the epic Jughead/Veronica feud thread. 


I joined this forum when posting was a bit slower but I did like the discussion threads e.g. What do you think the gang is up to ten years later? If x/y married... etc.

I'm not an artist    but I did post this on the old thread





It's a parody of the Gorillaz Demon Days album cover. I tried to marry the two styles, didn't quite succeed, but it was fun doing it. 


In case anyone is wondering, I left out Betty instead of Reggie because he was an original member of the Archies.

Not just out-of-context panels. There are plenty of in context panels, stories, and covers for Betty/Jughead. But I guess Betty/Jughead is too easy for us shippers. They are too nice to each other.

That's how I've always felt too. I see Betty and Jug as more of an endgame relationship or as one of those rare platonic (presumably straight) boy/girl relationships. Though I can't imagine things would always be so rosy, since Jughead is a lazy glutton, poor Betty might have to do all the cooking and cleaning. That's why Veronica is a better match, they'd have servants do everything. j/k 

I am so glad you brought this thread back Original Sin! Romantic or platonic Betty/Reggie team ups are the best.

I love that story. The hilarious part is that no one seems bothered, Mr. Lodge least of all, but then again he is a Jughead/Veronica shipper

HA! Great story. There is a surprising amount of kissing between those two considering how they loathe each other. The last Jughead/Veronica thread pretty much ended up becoming a shipping thread.

Do you think we'll see any meaningful Jughead vs Veronica in Jughead's new series, or has that all been done away with?

Okay, I'm kidding. Veronica is my favorite because she's such a great foil for other characters. She can be an enemy or a friend in any story. Plus, she doesn't take crap from anyone but she also has a good heart. She'll use any situation to her advantage but will recognize when she's gone too far. I love how Dan Parent writes her, she can be a brat but it's entertaining, not annoying to the reader. I really miss her solo book. 

I saw a few members discussing the latest Simpsons episode that featured a joke with the Riverdale gang. I was quite pleasantly surprised to see it when I was watching last night's episode. Here are some screenshots:



They've glued a quarter to the sidewalk and successfully pranked Bart.

They become solemn as they remember Archie is dead.

Archie being dead was the funniest part of this segment.

Unfortunately, I don't think this thread will ever be as epic as its original counterpart but I loved sharing those stories as Jughead and Veronica are a great comedic team, and of course because I am a shipper.

I'll start us off with a classic by Samm Schwartz. It perfectly captures their dynamic: their compelling need to be jerks and annoy one another.
