Future Quest #6 came out today, and look who did one of the covers! Dan Parent!:

Pretty cool, I thought. It's really interesting when I see a current (or unfortunately former) Archie artist doing something else outside of Archie itself....
Good for Dan.  I'm in the same camp that I like seeing the traditional style Archie artists drawing different sorts of characters.  I still like the Stan Goldberg variant of FF #1 from several years ago.

Last thing i got was food but i am going to my boyfriends area today to surprise him and i am going to see if he wants to go to the brand new dollar tree with me. Apparently Dollar tree has OPI Nail polishes and they are usually $8.99 but for $1 heck yeah!
Please let us know if they have the Gwen Stefani Christmas Collection of polishes.   "Red Fingers and Mistletoes" and "Christmas Gone Plaid" are two nice contrasting colors imo.

ASTONISHING ANT-MAN #13 - The ending of this storyline seemed to indicate this might be the final issue? I'm not sure. I'll miss it if it is.
Yeah, Ant-Man is done, Spidey is scrapped as of #12, and there's at least a dozen more on the chopping block. I know Avengers and Captain Marvel will be starting over with new #1's, but that's about all the specifics I remember.  I'm quite weary from all these stops/starts/relaunches.   :-\

But when did Reggie start dressing like Arthur Fonzarelli? Does he ride a motorcycle and go around saying "Aaaayy!! Sit on it!"  ???

Another thing Fonzie and the Reggie reboot have in common is they've both apparently jumped the shark.   :P

Also, how about Bill Watterson from Calvin & Hobbes fame working on Little Archie?

Bill Watterson would be a great choice.  I think Chris Eliopolous who did all those Franklin Richards one-shots at Marvel could offer an interesting take on Little Archie as well.

my New York Comic Con 2016 Haul...

Archie #214 has a pretty cool story for the time period(1971) "Color Them Red" where Archie & Jug believe Pop Tate is discriminating against their African American friend Josh for refusing them service.  It's a neat lesson in how simple misunderstandings can be at the root of a problem.

Chuck had been around for a few months at this point, but I don't think he had yet appeared in the Archie flagship title.

I'm not sure what I'd find compelling about Archie & the gang suddenly having kids beyond just a one-off "imaginary" type storyline.  I liked the way LWA approached a similar concept by having Archie and Betty as teachers of teen students who could (potentially) drive them batty.

Jughead's Uncle Bob leaves Jug an inheritance in his will.  Jughead's Mother is entirely unaffected by the news of Bob's passing, so this must be a relation from the Father's side of the family.  By Gladir/Goldberg.

Archie is an usher at the wedding of his cousin Max. We also meet Max's fiancee, Julie.  "Matri-Moan-y" by Angelo DeCesare/Goldberg.

Archie's (unseen) Uncle Thurston sends him a parrot named Pedro as a gift from his trip to Africa in "Bye Bye Birdie" by Bill Golliher/Fernando R.
*Spoiler*  Pedro "plops" on Reggie's head while appearing on national tv.   ;D

sunday stumper was an contest and you win a t shirt

It was some type of puzzle or riddle that appeared in a Sunday paper somewhere?  Would you elaborate somewhat?  That info may help us to answer your original question.

Hi Shuester!   Thanks for your input and welcome to the boards!   :D

Still a few more:

Archie's Uncle George is mentioned in passing by Archie's Father.  "Message Muddle" by Gladir/Bolling.

Archie's Uncle Angus sends a talking parrot as a gift to Archie in "Buccaneer By-Play" by Gladir/Goldberg.

Archie's unnamed Grandfather appears in one panel in "A Chance To Dance" by Gladir/Goldberg.

Betty's young cousin Becky appears in "Sooo Cute" by Greg Crosby/Goldberg.

Betty introduces her Aunt "Ms. Cooper" to Mr. Weatherbee in "Jog Agog" by Gladir/Goldberg.  Betty's Aunt is a writer for the Riverdale Sentinel.

Betty's Aunt Clara appears in "The Tour" by Gladir/Parent.  Aunt Clara is driving Betty and Veronica to visit colleges in the Northeast.

Finished "Running With Scissors" by Augusten Burroughs.  It's a memoir of the author's teen years that is simultaneously horrifying and hilarious, showing his coping and resilience to the dysfunction he was surrounded by. If you have an appreciation for dark humor you should check this book out.

General Comics / Re: Snotgirl #1

I'm a bit behind here (   :-[   ) as I just read Snotgirl #2, but one thing that really grabbed me was Laura Allred's coloring of the book.  The pages varied from brights to hues of pink, purple, or green, then darks, then back again depending on the characters present or mood that needed conveyed.  Even if you're not reading the title, flip through a copy at your lcs if you have the chance.  Seeing just cover images online don't do the book justice imo.

A few more:

Jughead's Aunt Rose appears in "Seer Suckers" as a fortune teller in a story by Doyle/Schwartz.

Betty mentions her Uncle Emil as someone who collects old hubcaps in "The Big Search" in B&V Friends Double Digest #248.

Veronica's cousin Rumpston(Mr. Lodge's nephew) appears in "Party Favor" in the same digest.

Dilton wasn't on the show. As for whether Dilton and Eugene interacted in the comics or not, you'd have to track down the New Archies comics and read them. It wouldn't surprise me if they included Dilton. Alter all, Cheryl appeared in the Archie's Weird Mysteries comic, even though she never appeared on the show.
Thanks for the reply.  I was uncertain if Dilton was still in the comic or if he had been replaced in both the animated series and comic series.

I wonder if the kid wearing the purple scarf on the cover of #3 is supposed to be Dilton?
