De the Jughead/Veronica feud thread isn't a shipping thread. At least I'm not in it for that, I like to see them not get along because Jughead/Veronica is a direct threat to my favorite Archie ship therefore it must die.    (JUST KIDDING EVERYONE, they're both great characters so I can see why some people want them together.)  I know Betty and Jughead have more in common than Betty and Reggie and get along better than Jughead and Veronica, if they were real people they would be a more suited couple but Archie stories aren't about real life, favorite couples are about the best drama, there's no drama between Betty and Jughead.


But I can see why people like Betty/Jughead, they're the nicest and most popular characters so for a lot of people they go together, that could make some good stories. They always seemed like brother and sister to me but I guess thanks to the Blossoms that phrase doesn't mean anything in Archie anymore. 

That sounds OOC for Jughead to say unless he just likes insulting Veronica.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This one has turned up in more image searches I've done than almost any single panel I can think of. It's been liked, re-posted, re-tweeted etc. all over the web. For a single out-of-context Archie Comics panel, this one fits the definition of "gone viral" better than any other I can think of.

Oh there are quite a few more famous than that one but it is popular probably for the reason you said.

No sorry it was on the old forum so its all gone now and I never noticed the title, all I can tell you is Veronica called to talk to Betty and freaked when she heard Archie was in Betty's room then I think she goes over to the Coopers'. The writers were still writing Veronica as a bitch in the '80s so I'm not surprised.

Here's one of the pictures I posted at the old forum by Gabbie Gross, the one who drew some of BettyReggie's commissions. Gabbie says Betty/Reggie is her Archie OTP so she must have liked doing those commissions.

Well no wonder, I don't have right clicking. Thanks anyway, I'm gonna have to figure something else out.

I assume you put Eerie Cuties here 'cause of rating, but to be more clear, I was drawing Eerie Cuties way before I ever drew anything for Archie. Saying it's something I'm doing now is not really accurate (plus, the updates that are going up right now are actually drawn by Fernando.) I don't see myself as an ex Archie artist. I simply didn't do enough work for them to say that they mattered to how much money I made in a year. Them not hiring me makes no difference to me money wise. Any time I did work for them was because I thought it would be fun, and I enjoy the property (especially Josie & Sabrina.) I think it's important that people get that 'cause I'm not suffering money wise by any means because Archie isn't giving me work. At most, I got/accepted one story to two a year at Archie. It was never enough for me to consider it regular work. Others have been more affected than me, and it pains me to see this happen. I hope all of them are able to find other work, and enough of it so that if Archie comes back to them, they can be a little more like me, and accept the gig 'cause they WANT to VS because they HAVE to in order to pay the bills.

Menage a 3 (rated R) and Sticky Dilly Buns are my current main gigs (Ma3 I started years before I ever did anything at Archie,) and I have another one in the works. Eerie Cuties/Magick Chicks will keep going with the help of friends like Fernando & Dan.

Honestly, I'm in a good place and have nothing to complain about. Sure, I'd love my chance to have a run on Josie & the Pussycats, but I don't run that company, so I don't call the shots.

Thanks for the information. Sorry, this list isn't meant to imply anything about when these projects were started or how often any of the people listed worked for Archie or anything about anyone's financial situation since that's private until they decide otherwise. It just means what are these people who no longer work for Archie doing now, put in one list so people who like the Archie style of drawing can look up other places to get their art since we can't get it from Archie for now. Since you're not doing Eerie Cuties right now and Fernando is I'll change that listing.

Veronica can be demanding and even rude at times, but even she wouldn't talk to to the adult Mrs. Cooper that way on the telephone. I can't imagine why you'd think she would.

Because this whole story was posted on the old forum. Yes it is Veronica on the other end of the phone. This is from the the period when some writers wrote her being one step removed from the wicked witch of the west so that shouldn't be a surprise.

I'm just wondering why this picture, it seems more like it's about Veronica than Archie but then why Mr. Weatherbee?
