Best of Jughead Crowning Achievements - loved the Craig Boldman stories. I'm thinking of going back and reading all the ones he wrote.

You're just discovering Craig Boldman's Jughead? He did an incredible 10-year run on Jughead with Rex Lindsey. Gave Jughead an amazing array of quirky obsessions, a vocabulary word of the month, and introduced his arch-nemesis Trula Twyst.

Never gave Jughead much of a try because when he appears in the Archie issues he's very one dimensional and obsessed with food which gets boring. These Craig Boldman stories are probably some of the funniest Archie Comics stories ever.

Archie's Friends / Jughead Sabrina Team Up
June 08, 2016, 01:11:24 AM
In honor of Sabrina's appearance in the new Jughead series, I was wondering if there were any other stories where these two team up? Besides the infamous Jughead #200 issue which is one of my favs.

Story Help / Re: B&V story where they meet a genie?
June 08, 2016, 12:58:12 AM
Cruising old digests tonight I found another genie story called "Power Failure" featuring Betty and a genie. He doesn't look like a stereotypical Aladdin genie and he pops out of a flashlight to grant wishes. His name is ironically "Flash." It's from Betty and Veronica Annual Digest #16 but the art looks 1960's. I haven't seen it on comics.org so I'll post it up on there.

I've mostly been updating on Goodreads these days.

Paper Girls #6 - I was just about to give up on this series (because they weren't explaining anything) but this book brought me back. I loved the fish out of water experience the 80's girls had in 2016 and the 3 Erins.

Escape to Gold Mountain - a very difficult and horrifying book to read but a very important one. This is for those interested in Asian studies or race relations.

Curb Stomp #1 - Didn't like it at all unfortunately despite the beautiful colors. I wanted it to be Jem and the Holograms but it just wasn't. Why are these so few comics about music and bands??

Grimm Fairy Tales The Little Mermaid - Just terrible.

Part Time Princesses #1 - It was ok. Loved the idea of the setting - amusement parks, summer, and princesses.

Ares & Aphrodite #1 - I'm trying out Comixology Unlimited which unfortunately is mostly just issue/volume #1's. So if you like a series you have to buy it. This was ok. It was like a rom-com movie but in comic format.

The Undertaking of Lily Chen - Great idea (corpse brides are fascinating) but the old fashioned art style did not at all go with the modern dialogue.

Through the Woods - Loved it! Spooky stories and fabulous art. Why don't they make more like these??

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - I'd never seen it before and it's almost 20 years old. It amazes me this show is still so popular to keep publishing comics of it.

Dead Like Me - Interesting concept but every character is trying their hardest to be unlikable.  :(

Loved the conclusion to this, and the teaser for the new series from Chapterhouse Comics. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the biggest Canadian comics publisher would be the one to most appreciate a new series from two classic Archie creators. The Archie/Canada connection continues!

While the new series from Chapterhouse Comics won't ship until October 26, I already went ahead and pre-ordered the Chapterhouse Summer Special 2016 (due out in July), which will have a preview of the new series.

Congratulations to Dan and Fernando on a great digital miniseries, and the launch of a new print series later this year!

Is that Special actually going to have new material from DKD or just reprints?

Just an FYI since it's not one I read, but apparently BOOM! studios has lowered it on "Bee & Puppycat" — despite earlier solicits for #12-16, #11 is now the final issue ...

I read this one. I got an email from TFAW awhile back canceling my orders for those issues. Boo.  :(

Hey! I'm looking for a story. I've read it somewhere before but can't remember it :(

Basically Veronica buys a spell book from a shop for a hundred dollars but doesn't believe in it's powers. She later finds out that it's powers are true but the book vanishes.

I have two pages from the story but it won't let me attach, as the file size is too large

I believe this is the story: http://www.comics.org/issue/213500/#1685815
