CLUBBING (OGN) by Andi Watson & Josh Howard - Small B&W trade (same size ACP formerly preferred with the Archie & Friends All-Stars collection) that was part of a DC line of girlie comics [minx] a decade ago - which oddly enough seem to all have been written and drawn by men (one was written by a married couple), even though they all featured young female protagonists. The back of the book has three previews for others: THE PLAIN JANES by Cecil Castellucci and Jim Rugg, RE-GIFTERS by Mike Carey and Sonny Liew, GOOD AS LILY by Derek Kirk Kim and Jesse Hamm, and a final page showing covers of three more then-upcoming: CONFESSIONS OF A BLABBERMOUTH, WATER BABY, and KIMMIE66. Whether the line ever got further than that, or even if all of those books were ever released, I don't know.

I have all these. They are ok. They can't decide if they are manga or graphic novels.

Interesting. I asked Viz on Twitter whether it's better to buy print or digital if I want to support a series I like (and see more similar series published) and they said print is more profitable for them.

It's shit.

It's stupid comments like this that make using the Internet much less enjoyable than it should be.  No one gains anything from such a comment.   I think all of the changes from the comic books (there are many) are a mistake, but the show is still fairly interesting.  Veronica, in particular, is well acted.  I could not pass up the chance to see these characters on TV, in any case. I regret the overall serious tone.  I wish there were a lot more humor.
If nothing else, the actors make great photographs (screen caps).

What's stupid about it?  I'm just stating facts as I see them.  Shit is shit, internet friend.  But if you are really upset about my opinion, here's a form you can fill out:

Here is yet another waste of a post.  Again, you did not at all explain what you disliked about Riverdale.  It seems rather odd that you decry the moral breakdown of modern American society  in other threads and yet make posts like this.  I think we may be on to an Archie Comics Renaissance here.  That would be good no matter what happened in the show.  You could think of it like when the 3 Stooges reformed in 1959, although there was little (if anything) of artistic value after Shemp died in 1955.  Actually, I think this Riverdale Show could turn out to be quite good.

Let's get something straight, grandpa, I've never made a waste of a post.   I'm an interwebs goddess.  Everything I post instantly becomes a meme.  I'm the Meme Queen so to speak.  So you can start by showing e-royalty the respect she deserves.  Second, I already explained what I disliked about Riverdale.  It's shit.  I tend to not enjoy being in the presence of or looking at shit, so of course Riverdale is no different.

I never did that, although, I'm not sure what the voices in your head told you.

B-ko is that you? Why so negative? Why not post about something you like?

Maybe Betty had more hair back then or it was permed to make it poof out more so you could see it on both sides. It almost looks like she just tied the top half of her hair with a ribbon and the left the bottom half down.

I don't really have anything
I had a Barbie Betty but it's totally hideous I also got a custom funko pop and some note books and letters and a shirt.
But aside from that I find it extremely hard to get merchandise and merchandise that actually looks good!

Maybe this is the doll you have:

Here's the Veronica in the same line:

It doesn't sound like you have the actual Mattel Barbie version of Betty. Earlier versions of B&V dolls were made by companies like Marx Toys and Playing Mantis that look pretty bottom-of-the-barrel embarassing, but (from the photos I have seen, I don't actually own them) the versions Mattel made in 2004 actually look quite good:

I totally want these dolls now. They actually do appear well made. I'll put them next to my Josie and the Pussycats dolls.

Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys: The Big Lie #1 - Not your grandma's Nancy Drew. Not too much Nancy in this issue either. Another murder mystery story.

Betty's hair is all wrong. Where are the bangs? The ponytail?

She wears a ponytail all the time on the show.

Zana - a comic about if the South African apartheid had never ended.

Brave Chef Brianna #1 - Cute food themed girlie comic. Boom is quickly becoming my favorite publisher. Hopefully it doesn't fall off the rails like Spacebattle Lunchtime.

Riverdale One Shot - I liked it. Better storytelling than the main series.

I do wish they'd reprint more older stories (Silver/Bronze Age) and more obscure characters like Bingo Wilkin, the Madhouse Glads, etc., just for some variety. One of the reasons I like the two B&V digests so much is that they've reliably got either Sabrina or Josie reprints, and frequently Cheryl Blossom reprints as well. What about some reprints of Katy Keene stories from the 1980s? I don't think I've ever seen any in the digests so far.

Yay Katy Keene. I read some of her 80s stories a couple months ago and liked them. I think it was in the Holiday Fun digests. There are a disproportionate amount of holiday stories featuring Katy. I wish they'd republish more.

It was no one's fault the old forum died, but losing eleven years of threads makes the new forum feel second best. It is 2006 all over again, except without the unity, innocence and optimism.
I'm fairly certain some fault can be found.  We lost a great amount of info, plus contributing members like Frank, Forsythe, Captain Hero, Chuck, and Greg who are still involved in the hobby.

Yeah where did all these Archie historians go? Are they still interested in Archie? Are they posting somewhere else? Or is there just nothing to say now that ACP puts out so little Classic Archie.

Long day. Went to the Mobile Health Clinic for my new job to get blood work done. Then I had to get a state ID at the DMV because i need two forms of ID for my fingerprinting appointment tomorrow. I sat there for like 2 hours. I was one hour late for work. I worked from 2pm to 6:30pm.

Tomorrow is my fingerprinting appointment

What's your new job?

Oh to be back in 2006, when things were simple.
