Story Help / Veronica switches places with a maid
November 12, 2017, 04:01:34 PM
Hey, everyone!  Sorry I haven't been on the site in a while.  I've been busy with my first year of college.  But, I finally have some free time to read some comics and there's one I was searching for since before I started classes.  I read about this story where Veronica doesn't want to go to some party and switches identities with a maid that looks just like her.  I can't seem to find this story anywhere.  So, if anyone knows the name of this story or where I can find it, please let me know.

P.S.
Happy holidays

Does anyone know of any B&V stories where the girls encounter magic?  Like witches, magical artifacts, or warlocks?  I know that there's one where Veronica finds a wishing pendant and where the girls find a genie, but I'm looking for something new (or old, I guess) to read.   The only stories that I seem to find are ones involving Sabrina and no offense to my favorite teenage witch, I kinda want something where B&V are in the spotlight.  Thanks in advance

This may sound strange, but a Column I enjoy called "Ask Chris" talks about a Frank Doyle (The king of Archie Writers!) story where Betty and Veronica meet...Satan.

That story was more recently reprinted in The Best of Archie Comics, Book Four

I've read it.  Good story.  At least now we all know why Archie always did whatever Veronica said in the 50's.  Lol. [emoji1]

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but in my second album, there's a story on page 12 called "The Magic Word". Betty and Ronica discuss if Riverdale High was a magical school, like Hogwarts was for Harry Potter. Sabrina makes a cameo at the end without both girls knowing it...

Cool!  I'll be sure to check it out! [emoji3]

I that I'd start this thread to retell all the times that Betty (while trying to sabotage it) actually helped Archie and Veronica's relationship.  Anyone can post this type of story on this thread.  So — here's one called "MATCH ME!" Part 1-4

Thanks for the link [emoji3]. Does anyone know where I can find the B&V story from there called "THE KING IS BACK".  The plot says that mister lodge tries to hypnotize the girl's to stop listening to Robert Cap records.  Sounds funny.

Story Help / HYPNOSIS STORIES?
January 07, 2017, 12:22:53 PM
Does anyone know of any classic Archie, B&V, or Jughead hypnosis stories?  I've always loved this trope, whether it was on Giligan's Island, Mister Ed, The Flintstones, or The Suite Life on Deck.  You know me, I prefer B&V stories, but I'm also a fan of Jughead.  So almost any type of hypnosis stories are welcome.  I'm just looking for something funny (and free) to read.  Thanks in advance [emoji3]

I'm looking for a story that was in one of the older B&V double digest, where Riverdale High is having a school play and Betty wants to play the Veronica-Type part and Veronica wants to play the Betty-Type part.  So, to prove that they can basically play each other's parts, the girls switch personalities for a while.  I've been looking for this story for a while with no luck.  If anyone has this story please post some scans.  I've been dying to read it.  Thanks in advance. 😀

All About Archie / Re: Funniest archie stories
September 03, 2016, 04:20:45 PM
The very first Archie series that I read was Archie's Weird Mysteries and, to me, it had some of the funniest Archie stories around.  The best and funniest one had to be in issue 5.  In this story, Archie still thinks that the Quorkanator (can't remember if it's called that or not) malfunction was what caused all of the strange things going on in Riverdale.  So, when Dilton admits that he built a working time machine, Archie decides to use it to travel back to the day of the malfunction.  Dilton agrees on one condition... Archie has to set him up on a date with Veronica.  Archie agrees and he, Jughead, Dilton, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, and Moose jump in the time machine.  But thanks to Reggie trying to pull a prank during the trip, the time space continuum is completely altered.  Now, Archie and his friends are trapped in middle aged bodies (Archie's fat, bald, & has a mustache; Jughead has a beard; Reggie has a gut with a mustache; Betty and Veronica look like typical middle aged women etc) and their parents and teachers are teenagers.   There's a lot of role switched comedy in the story.  Especially, with Veronica's reaction to being old and Betty trying to use her babysitting skills on Ms. Grundy.  In the end, with the help of Flutesnoot, everything is returned to normal as Dilton takes a shocked Veronica on a date.

I love Thomas Pitilli's Archie #11. He drawed a Gorgeous Reggie for me. I can't wait till we see him in the next Archie Issue. You should look at Thomas Pitilli's Instagram. He has a beautiful picture of Reggie on it.
Sounds cool.  I've been dying to catch up on Archie.  Been trying to wait for Volume 2 Trade Paperback to catch up on the series.  I haven't read an issue since number 7.  But I've been really wanting to check out the battle of the bands story so bad.  I've been reading reviews online like crazy trying to stay in the loop.  It all sounds awesome.  I did get a chance to finally read Jughead Volume 1 Trade and even though the art lacked, I thought it was almost as good as the Archie series.  Different.  But still good.  I'm still waiting for my next paycheck to be able to read B&V Issue 1 as they're my favorite characters.

I'm surprised that they are using covers from the comics in the show somehow. I love the Cheryl Blossom by Veronica Fish . It's gorgeous.

I know, right?  I wish that Veronica Fish was still the main artist on Archie.  But I still think it's awesome that they're incorporating the comic art to define the different episodes.  This feels like the kind of serialized stories that After Life With Archie produces, but without Zombies and too much horror, mixed with the Mark Waid style of Archie.  Hopefully.  Should prove to be a cool show.

Archie Comics tweeted the image of two scripts of season one of Riverdale!  Episode 2 is called "A TOUCH OF EVIL" and episode 3 is called "BODY DOUBLE".  It looks like 2 will focus on Cheryl messing with Archie, Betty, and Veronica's relationship.  3 seems to be centered around B&V, whether it's them arguing, switching places, testing their new friendship, or Veronica helping Betty stand up to her family.  All of the plots are speculation at this point.  Though guessing from the artwork on the scripts' cover pages, I'm probably onto something.  I'll post the pic in the next post because my phone keeps glitching.
Here's the pic from Twitter:
