Some sellers on Amazon have them priced at $10. 99 and $11.99.

Quote from: PTF on August 30, 2022, 02:41:39 AMMy only complaint is that she never called him Juggers

But she DID call him Juggers... that nickname was entirely the invention of Craig Boldman. Many people call him "Jug" or "Juggie" for short, but ONLY Trula calls him "Juggers". I'd have to check, but that might even go all the way back to Trula's first appearance in JUGHEAD (1987 series) #89.

I think they're talking about the recent Dan Parent scripted story in Archie Jumbo #332. She only calls him Jughead.

Through the Decades / Re: Alas, poor Jughead...

Ruiz comment in the "Nobody here anymore?" thread got me thinking about that too. I wonder if Jug's quirkiness potentially alienates some readers (Betty and Ronnie are the usual "polar opposites who are somehow BFFs" and Arch is the classic everyman; while Jug is the "weird best friend"). It's hard to process a character as popular as he losing readers regularly.

The special Juggie issues are coming back in June, except now it's only for the main Archie digest.

I always wondered whether if every fourm member here still keeps up with new Archie content or have slowly lost interest in the company's recent output (Riverdale really turned off a lot of fans; their horror output really dried up, especially Afterlife with Archie, which is still M.I.A). But I assume many have moved to other platforms with bigger audiances. You would think that the 80th anniversary would bring everyone back, but not much.

The one thing I really miss on here was Fernando Ruiz's posts.

Scratch that: only Jamie Rotante is involved. The art is by Bill Galvan.

(It's that little black ribbon she uses to tie around her hair.)

Doesn't her ponytail play some role into her transformation into Superteen in those AU superhero stories? Or am I misremembering?

Yep. She twisted her ponytail.

"Hundreds of Possibilities" apparently will be included in a new jumbo "Collector's Edition"' digest in February, just in time for the 80th anniversary.

#102 was the last Special Jughead Issue. #103 goes back to normal. However, 103 has a reprint of two Tales Caulculated to Drive You Bats stories ("The Monster Crisis" and "Mad Lab").

Starting the new year of 2021 with a new B & V digest title (another "special collecter's edition").
Features a new story from the team behind Betty & Veronica: The Bond of Friendship.

Nice! Thanks. :) Hmm, Sabrina: Something Wicked #4? When does #3 come out? Amazon still doesn't list it.
Hmmm... Ebay says August 26 (for presale), Previews World says September 23rd.

Quote from: DeCarlo Rules on March 27, 2020, 02:42:30 AMOn the trade paperback front, there's this (No real details, so it's a crapshoot as to whether there will be any significant percentage of not-previously-collected stories making up this volume):

Is it merely the trade paperback version of the earlier-revised HC Deluxe Edition of the even-earlier Best of Archie Comics Volume 1 trade collection? Or an entirely different remix? No way to tell at present. Buyer Beware!

Judging by the Amazon description and date, it's looks simply a repackage of the even-earlier trade collection, though I'm unsure, but it wouldn't surprise (could be a paperback of the hardback version however): https://www.amazon.com/Best-Archie-Comics-Superstars/dp/1879794845/ref=sr_1_3?crid=23UK0467V9JM3&dchild=1&keywords=best+of+archie+comics+book+1&qid=1595970894&sprefix=best+of+arc%2Caps%2C459&sr=8-3

Quote from: DeCarlo Rules on July 25, 2020, 12:03:34 PMRATS! I was really looking forward to that new story. Now I'll probably never know when (or IF) it's published in some other digest.

I've noticed, lately, none of the digests have new stories in them (not sure if even the covers are new). I don't know why that is. Archie Comics makes most of its money, I assume, from licensing (Riverdale, novels, etc.) and digests, not floppies, so I don't see why they can't pay for a new 5-page story in each digest. The last new story, I think, was in Archie Comics Double Digest #310, back on June 3.
New stories are apparently coming back in October, according to the new solicits: https://archiecomics.com/october-2020-solicitations/
