...I would like to see Scarlet back again :) . It would be nice if, not that she has been established, she could be used in a more straightforwardly comedic manner as s regular character :D . " Plastic Straws " was, inevitably, somewhat preachy/Very Special Episode- y.

Archie's Friends / Re: Big Ethel?

...When was that story by Tom DeFalco a few years ago that had Ethel getting a superhero identity as " Big E ", or something like that? I always wanted to see that identity used again.
I recall the cover showing a gigantic " E "...As far as ACO's corporate image goes, of course, we - well, they might not know what to do, exactly, with the slang fact that " E ' has been a slang phrase in the United Kingdom for the " party drug)love drug " MDMA, that is generally called " esctasy "!!!!!!!!!!! :crazy2:  (It tends to be slanguage'd " X ", not " E ", in America.)
ACIEEEDD Archies! Dilton Doiley, the DJ mastermixer! Moose's with those raver glow sticks and antennae!  The Mad House Glads play Coachella! Betty and Veronica, embracing each other on the dance floor, and saying " I love ya babe! "! :smitten: Pop Tate's getting busted by the DEA and everybody going to s Supermax federal prison! :-\  It could work. :uglystupid2: 8)

...Thank you for the correction regarding Dan D.'s death. I winged it, and didn't get around to looking it up afterwards.
I did not think Veronica looking for a classic car was in any way odd, BTW, and I don't see how you reached that interpretation.

Let's look at reprinted Archie stories and wonder, from the references in them, whether they've been revised. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! ;D :smitten: :D

In B&V FRIENDS #264, a Dan DeCarlo-penciled story has Veronica looking for a collectible
car on the Web. Dan D. passed before the 20th Century was
over, and had left Archie on bad terms by then. Would a story from earlier in the 90s have dropped the term/concept? I was rather late, I suppose, getting on the Web - 2000-2001 - so that no doubt affects my viewpoint.
A clearly early-60s story (Archie in letter/bowtie outfit) drops " groovy " as a slang phrase, in a panel showing
a big pre-'66-style big-finned car, as a matter of fact! Was " groovy " really Archie-level slang then?
  A " Gag Bag " has Archie/Jughead using a quadrophonic record player! :2funny:

Other Media / The " Carrie " Riverdale Episode

I thought I posted about the " Riverdale " episode where they did a production of the musical bases on Stephen King's " Carrie ", but I searched for it and I could not find it :-[ .

...Oh. God, another carefully written draft fell victim to this crappy phone! :'( :'(

...I read it. Okay. Interesting to see Veronica return to her earlier b-word characterization. Did Archie accidently drop the picture when leaving Betty?
For historical accuracy, I see that the draft was not mention ed at all. Even if we follow the general theory that Riverdale is in the Pennsylvania-through-Massacusetts. Or heart I"m thinking ..questionable that a black female could be at the beach with white friends, and ummmmm, maybe, about Chuck receiving his diploma with the rest - His parents were in the balcony. Chuck"a face appeared discolored in one panel. If we accept the story Archie once advanced, that Riverdale is in Branson, MO/nearby - Well!!!!!!!!!

...I have #1 of this, but I haven't read it yet. Just in case you don't know, there was already a military draft in America prior to Pearl Harbor - I believe it went into effect in 1940 - and I assume the story will reflect this.

...Oh, and Dilton Doiley AIN'T " on the spectrum "? :idiot2: Come out, D.D. ;D !

..As far as LWA material goes, I have aways wanted the early, pre-TV series, Archies stories reprinted! :D

...WI1'm an extremely long-serving comic book fan, and I know th background very well! For one quick comment for now, I have been seeing 24- and 28- pagers (I'm not counting the covers, remember.)...and the 24-page format/template was used way back in the 70s, during the underground era!
