All About Archie / Re: Archie and Varsity Jackets

Archie was still wearing the sweater with the R on it well into the 1980s.  I did find what looks like it may be a letter jacket on the cover of Archie at Riverdale High #70 from 1980.  It's got the R on it at least.  There may very well have been earlier appearances, but I just did a cursory glance at the covers of a few titles.

I've been enjoying the show a lot.  It isn't perfect by any means, but I've found it entertaining.

I watched the first three episodes of Taboo, a nice period drama set in London in 1814.  Violent and dark, but good.  I'll probably try to watch the other 5 episodes this weekend along with the finale for season 1 of Emerald City.

I've just finished getting caught up on Sherlock - 4 seasons and a special episode over the course of a week. I didn't like the fourth season quite as much as the first three, but it was still good. I wonder if they will ever be able to make a fifth season, even though the principals are under contract for one.

The special episode where most of it took place i the 19th Century was very cool.

I'm watching the first season of Sherlock.  This is a show that I've been meaning to watch since it debuted, but somehow never got around to watching, even though I knew that I'd like it.

On a semi related note, where do I look up comic sales? I want to know if another comic that I like non Archie related is selling well or not.

You can check www.comichron.com which has the monthly Diamond sales charts and historical data, too.

I finished reading The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas last night.  I've been reading it for the past month and it is one loooong book.   I think the printed version is 1200 or so pages.  I listened to the audiobook which was on 35 cds.  Edmond Dantes is a young sailor who is about to get married when he is set up by a couple of jealous rivals.  He is sent away to prison where he languishes for years before escaping.  He attains fabulous wealth thanks to a hidden treasure he learned of from a fellow prisoner and eventually reemerges into society a decade later as the Count of Monte Cristo, a mysterious person who is extremely talented in many areas.  He sets his plans for revenge into motion and things slowly come together.  It is an excellent book and well worth the time needed to read it.

Judging from next week's Riverdale previews, haters of the young-Grundy-seducing-Archie storyline and lovers of traditional Grundy might get some justice.

i haven't watched this week's episode (or next week's previews) yet, but I wouldn't mind finding out that Grundy the music teacher has a spinster aunt with the same name who is also a teacher who maybe comes out of retirement to return to teaching at Riverdale High School.

I just watched the second episode and I liked it more than the first episode, too.  I thought it was good, though the show is still finding its footing. I'm hoping it gets a lot better as the season progresses.

I watched the latest episode of Timeless and the second episode of Outlander tonight.  I'll probably watch Riverdale tomorrow night.

I just finished watching Red Dwarf Season 11 and it was solid and entertaining.
