I finished Westworld yesterday and am 6 episodes into Blunt Talk Season 1 with Patrick Stewart.  I think it's pretty funny.

I just finished watching the last 5 episodes of the first season of Pitch.  I enjoyed it and hope that it gets renewed.

Now I'm waiting for the Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers game.

The Simpsons-600 Esposide Marathon on FXX

600 episodes is going to take you a while to get through.  See you back here in 12.5 days.

Vikings-Lions game

I watched that, too, and as happy to see the Lions pull off their usual 4th quarter comeback to get the win and take over sole control of first place in the division.

I wonder when these brand new lead stories will run out? How many more are left? When does ACP plan to stop publishing brand new Classic Archie stories and possibly the digests as well?

As long as the digests continue to make a decent profit, I doubt if Archie will stop them.   However, it wouldn't bother me that much if they did stop making the digests if they no longer had new stories in them.  I'd probably keep buying them even if they were all reprints because I have a full set of digests, but maybe I'd eventually decide to stop.

I just finished The Best of Bova vol.1, a collection of short stories by Ben Bova.  It wasn't too bad.

I'm also rereading The Short Victorious War by David Weber.

Those digests were definitely available in comic book stores since that's where I purchased mine.  I agree with Steve in that it was probably a way to try to sell some earlier digests that they had in stock.

The comic store I worked at from 1986-2005 built up the kids section in the late 90s.  I placed several orders directly from Archie for various Archie back issues to build up our stock of Archies for sale.  It worked for a while and we saw decent sales (not Marvel/DC numbers mind you, but better than before).   The Archie titles started to flag after a few years, though, and we ended up with more overstock.  Archie had lots of issues still in their inventory back then dating back to the early 1990s (and maybe earlier) in some cases I think.  I think I dealt directly with Fred Mausser at the time.

I also checked out from the library the movie, but I'm waiting until I finish the book to watch the movie.
I have been meaning to read The Prince and the Pauper, can you let me know if it's a good book, please?

I'm about 2/3 of the way through it and am enjoying it a lot so far.  So far there has been a bit more of a focus on the prince and his problems, but there have also been good parts with the pauper and the troubles he has had at court.

I'll probably finish it later this week some time.

Last night I began reading for the very first time To Kill A Mockingbird. I'm liking it so far.

I read that back in junior high or high school and enjoyed it.  I don't think I'll ever reread it, but it was good.  The movie was also pretty good.   My mom read the 'sequel' which came out during the summer and thought it was okay.

I'm reading The Prince and the Pauper and The Time Machine right now.   I've read comic book adaptations for both, but have never actually read the original books so I thought it was time  to rectify that.  Catch-22 by Joseph Heller is probably my next classic read.
