Just finished "In Real Life" by Jessica Love. It's a Catfish romance.

Kumi Tanura and her younger sister, Ami - Japanese girls that moved to Riverdale. Kumi attends RHS. Her "thing" was being very naive about American culture. Ami has a crush on Archie. At home, their mother keeps up Japanese traditions and etiquette.
Crystal - a girl that ran a New Age store in the mall in the early 1990s; she endorsed transcendental meditation and other such things.

Glad to see the real DeCarlo Rules back. I missed your crazy long archival type posts that you obviously put a lot of work into. Are you a budding writer of sorts? Also I'm jealous of all the reading time you have if you actually finished all those comics above.
P.S. I didn't like Patsy Walker #4 either. Too superhero for me. Not enough girlie stuff.
Well, I had to kind of plan to get things read (and wouldn't have been able to read that much, if the forums had been up). When I added the comment about the "hellish" week, I was referring to (a) the forum being offline, and (b)the fact that the first three titles I read that Wednesday were all "hellish" (Bill & Ted Go To HELL, HELLboy & the B.P.R.D. 1953, and Patsy Walker HELLcat - it's weird that they all came out the same week)... not that I didn't enjoy that issue of PWakaH, I did.
I can see where Patsy Walker is rife with continuity references to Marvel Universe characters and events though, which would be completely lost on anyone unfamiliar with the Marvel Universe. It seems to be barely hanging on saleswise, so I expect it'll be a short run... the series probably wouldn't have gotten green-lit to begin with without the superhero stuff. It's just the way the business works in mainstream comics, I'm afraid.

Yeah I sort of figured that Archie isn't the most collectible but it's still a surprise. I went to a local small comic store here and actually found a decent amount of stuff.
I told him any Archie he finds to let me know because I've had a really hard time with it.

Hi all! Took the opportunity of the Fan Forum "reboot" to join up. If any of you are part of the Fans of Archie Comics Facebook page, I'm the creator/admin Adam. If not, you should check it out. Lots of fans, interactions, discussions, and creators! Meanwhile, I'm going to look around here and enjoy myself!
Quote from: invisifan on March 31, 2016, 12:21:14 PMQuote from: irishmoxie on March 30, 2016, 10:49:35 PMMG is officially "on break" which seems to be a new semi-regular thing at both Dark Horse & Image — finish an arc and take a month or two off to get the next ready ...
Mystery Girl #4 - The first arc comes to an end. The beginning of this issue was a bit confusing. I hope they continue the series.
Disney Princesses #1 - more like a comic strip. A bit too immature for me.
I thought the flip to DP#1 was a lot more interesting that the mainside book which is too choppy/disjointed and the "calendar style presentation really didn't work for me
On the other hand I thought Jughead got a lot better ... not sure about the Sunnyside (Martinsville/Reversedale) bit, but the art improved — in fact the "coming next month" page looked fantastic (artistically anyway) — like Erica trying to say "Hey I can do good art when I want to!" to all her critics ... of course the corollary is saying she didn't think it was worth putting putting the effort in for Jughead ...
