Oldiesmann: I'm also very disappointed at these events but the wrong people were punished. It's obvious that De Carlo Rules and his sockpuppet Cosmo were the cause of this. I have great respect for Dan Decarlo, the artist but not his rules. It's obvious he runs this board, not you. Yes, there is an asshole on this board and it's the 3 of you.

For the record, I'm NOT Alexandra Cabot, Mr. Lodge, Rusty, Cosmo or anybody else. Check your IP addresses.

"Archie Comics are COMICAL comics". Take your own goddamn advise. Grow up. Get a clue. Deactivate my account.

Don't know how long you've been around here but "Alexandra Cabot"/"B-ko" has been on here starting arguments forever.  Sorry but your take is just wrong.  I've quit the board several times because of her (his?) nonsense.  I would love it if it's over forever, but given the history I'm guessing it will be back sooner than later.

Performed a public service by alerting the System Administrator to a serious breach of netiquette.  :)

The vulgar thread in question was deleted as in poor taste, and offending parties were dealt with as Oldiesmann deemed appropriate.

A just and equitable resolution to a shameful episode of misbehavior.

Let's go back to having fun now.

Thank you DeCarlo Rules!

^ Let's hope the second season will be the last one!
That show is so bad and so frickin depressing. Archie comics are supposed to put you in a good mood. They are simple, funny comics. This show takes itself way too seriously and it's so dark for no good reason.

If you think this show takes itself seriously, you obviously haven't really watched it.  The reason it's hilarious is it's clear the creators are laughing the whole time.  It's so over the top it's impossible to take literally and I can't imagine many people do.

Wow, showing a vegan steak and saying, "doesn't that look delicious?" is SO original.  You're seriously wounding me.  Please stop.  I can't take it.

At least your normal rants are unique to you.  Stick with those.  Better than this sad retread.

The lack of viewers is a problem but there is already going to be a season 2 and that will most likely be the last one.

I love the show.  It's a blast.  I look forward to it all week and watch each episode multiple times because I don't catch everything in the first viewing.

I had high expectations for the show and it has exceeded every one.

I think the cast genuinely likes each other and it helps in the performances.

Alexandra, calling people witless may be funny to you but all you seem to do is stir up crap.  Is it really THAT fun for you?  If so, I guess carry on, but I'll never understand why bashing people on an Archie Comics Forum is so entertaining to you.  It's bizarre.  I think you're the only one who finds it funny.  I can see why you might get some perverse satisfaction from it for five minutes but to keep doing it over and over makes me question your sanity.

All About Archie / Jughead #14

Another really fun issue that wraps up Ryan North's tenure on the Jughead book.

I'm very skeptical I'll like Mark Waid and Ian Flynn's version of Jughead as much as Ryan North's.  I'll give it a chance but Ryan's writing on Jughead has been the highlight of the Archie reboots for me.

Congrats on the one jillionth post about why Archie is "failing".  Meanwhile, they continue to exist.  One day you'll be right.  I just know it.  LOL

It's hilarious! It talks about the "lust-filled" Archie comics of the 70's...  :2funny:

I hadn't!  Looks great.  Thanks!

I did make a thread for Mr. Lodge here but it was more for his moments of rage, this story is more cold blooded.  :)

Whoops, my bad. I didn't know there was already a Mr. Lodge thread.  :(

Anyway, here's another Mr. Lodge panel I like.

And to imagine that Riverdale's Hiram Lodge is also in jail right now. He is, isn't it? I don't really pay much attention to that mess, I only have that show on as background noise while I do something else.

LOL, you can admit you watch it!  It's OK. We won't judge.

I already preorder Archie #20 it was the one with Dilton & Betty & Archie. So the numbering is wrong. I tweeted Alex Segura about it. He liked my tweet. I hope they fix their mistake.

Archie Comics said on Facebook that these are the new covers for issue 20.  They're not using the originally soliticed Dilton/Betty/Archie covers.

I don't think it will be any of the core 5.

I like your idea of it being a parent, but this series is already serious enough, and losing a parent would take it into even more depressing territory.   But then I guess anyone dying is going to make it depressing.

I'm stumped.

I'm just looking forward the drag race!

I thought it was much too serious.  The pregnancy bit is over the top.  Also, the adults were very involved and I think they should really be in the background.

I laughed out loud at a bunch of it, but I'm laughing at it and not with it sometimes.

The adults are all morally challenged and to me that's what's so cool about the show.  The kids are basically trying to be good people (Archie boinking his teacher excepted), and the adults are corrupt, just like real life!
