  • Fernando Ruiz: I don't know where the idea originated for the "Archie meets Archie" story. I know one day Victor Gorelick gave me the assignment to write a story where the current Archie meets the first appearance Archie. It was going to be for a digest celebrating whatever anniversary they were celebrating. That.

  • Mr.Lodge: The first batch of "Memory Lane" stories were the best but were never given the chance to "conclude" properly. The 10th Anniversary one are total crap.....
    November 16, 2019, 06:10:50 pm
  • Tuxedo Mark: @Fernando Ruiz I never heard that before! Good to know! :)
    November 16, 2019, 06:08:57 pm
  • DeCarlo Rules: Nice to establish that. I forgot about that Twilight Zone episode! But of course, the phrase "a stroll down Memory Lane" is a familiar euphemism, so TZ took that as a literal plot device. The Memory Lane stories were the beginning of a fertile period for ACP, idea-wise.
    November 16, 2019, 05:05:30 am
  • Fernando Ruiz: Responding to the comments for the "When Archie Meets Archie" review, the idea for "Memory Lane" was mine. I borrowed it from an old Twilight Zone episode and thought it was a nice convenient device for the story.

There was a great #Riverdale tweet tonight that went something like "Hi Midge... Bye Midge..."
2
The Blossom parents seemed so creepy throughout the season that I really didn't think that they would go there. I mean, they seemed a bit too obvious as potential suspects, but I was wrong.
3
Joaquin will probably return midway through Season 2 with Grundy at his side!  ;D
4
The whole Blossom/Cooper related thing didn't hold a lot of water for me. I come from a town -- a family even -- with people just as related to the spouse as Polly and Jason. It'd feel legal in any of the states. Seemed tenuous...

It ended up being published digitally, but not in print. Pretty good read.

You know what else has never been in print? Those Reggie & Me and Dilton DE miniseries. Doubt it will happen, just sayin'. Maybe then we can work on getting Kevin In The City... was that ever completed, in digital format?

It's supposed to wrap up by the end of summer. I forget if they've releases three issues so far or if we've made it to four yet.

All About Archie / Re: Riverdale Episode 8

It's possible that the twins are indeed a year older than everyone else and that she shares some classes with the other Riverdale Gang. Or maybe Polly and Betty are close enough in age that they're able to be in the same grade. Or it just might be convenient for the story for them to all interact in whatever way moves the plot forward.

The comic book characters are more like templates for the TV show. At most, Polly is a year older than Betty in this TV show.

I wonder if Kevin, Reggie, Moose, Pop, Weatherbee, etc. will look more like their "Riverdale" counterparts?

I asked Dan about this on Facebook.

He replied: "No, they'll be more like their comic book counterparts. But some of the Riverdale influence will still spew over..."

I wonder if it will be in July 2017 Solicitations? And I hope it's a comic not a digital one.

According to the article,  it will be published both in print and online.

Catching up on the episodes of Legends of Tomorrow that I missed from season 2 now that it's on Netflix.
