  • DeCarlo Rules: It's crazy that ACP hasn't reprinted those 2 issues as a double-size one-shot. Or the lead story in a TP collection of vampire stories (including "Twilite" and others).

  • irishmoxie: That's crazy about those Betty and Veronica issues being worth so much. They're only about 6 years old. I'm pretty sure I have copies of them.

  • DeCarlo Rules: On a relatated note, the real FIRST Vampironica appeared in Larry Welz' underground comic Cherry Poptart #1 [link]. That can be had right now, CGCed at 9.4, at the Buy-It-Now price of $280 on ebay. Although the book had several subsequent printings, only the first printing ($2 cover price) contains the Vampironica story. Much, much scarcer than B&V #261 & 262, but then far fewer people seem to be aware of its existence. It may not be the same Vampironica as the one that appears in her own comic book from ACP, but then you can easily make the argument that neither is the Vampironica from B&V 261-262.

  • rusty: Crazy.  I obviously missed that back then.

  • DeCarlo Rules: Yes, I mentioned this a while back somewhere around the time Vampironica #1 was first solicted or shipped. I even mentioned it to Dan Parent and told him if he still had copies he should get them CGC'ed.

  • rusty: Apparently Betty and Veronica #261 and 262 (1987 series) are popular now due to Vampironica.  Somebody actually purchased a copy of #261 for $299 on ebay recently.

HYPNOSIS STORIES?
« on: January 07, 2017, 12:22:53 pm »
Does anyone know of any classic Archie, B&V, or Jughead hypnosis stories?  I've always loved this trope, whether it was on Giligan's Island, Mister Ed, The Flintstones, or The Suite Life on Deck.  You know me, I prefer B&V stories, but I'm also a fan of Jughead.  So almost any type of hypnosis stories are welcome.  I'm just looking for something funny (and free) to read.  Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link . Does anyone know where I can find the B&V story from there called "THE KING IS BACK".  The plot says that mister lodge tries to hypnotize the girl's to stop listening to Robert Cap records.  Sounds funny.

Man I read one a while back but I don't have it now :( In it Betty goes around hypnotising people but from what I remember she always messes it up somehow? It was an old story. If someone has it and can post scans I would appreciate it a ton, I do feel like reading it again. On doing some research it's called "Fancy Trance"

As for some other stories, there's the one where Archie hypnotises Veronica to make her think they're on a date which I have scans of and can upload if you want to see it. There is another one where Jughead gets hypnotised by reggie to be his slave, which is another story I've read but misplaced

I found a few but it won't let me attach since the file size for images is too large :(

That jughead hypnotised by reggie story was in my latest haul but for some reason the pages are really weird. Like the art and text is really blurry for some reason. Has anyone had that happen before? I bought from mycomicshop and it was graded near mint

this is jughead with archie 76

Maybe about a year or two ago in digests, there was a story about Reggie hypnotizing Archie to be his servant and do his chores. Whenever a pretty girl walked by, Archie would be in a "trance," and whatever Reggie told him to do at the time would get done. Really well written story.

I know which episode you're talking about, and it is a good one.
