Tuxedo Mark

I'm Tuxedo Mark. I was originally the second member to join this forum, way back in 2006.

I've been an Archie fan since 1990. My mom had bought me two digests back in the day. Later, I started buying my own comics (as well as selling some). I've got a pretty big collection (for my room, anyway).

My favorite characters are Betty Cooper and Cheryl Blossom. I have every issue of all of Cheryl's miniseries and her long-running solo series.

More recently, as I've been looking to control my spending, an appearance by Cheryl determines whether I buy a digest or not.

I also have all of the "Riverdale High" prose novels and the three "xoxo, Betty and Veronica" novels.

rusty

My name is Rusty and I'm an addict.  I'm addicted to comic books.

(Hello Rusty)

I've been reading comics for 39 years and was introduced to my older brother's Richie Rich comic collection when I was bored that summer.  After devouring all 800 or so comics over a two week period, I started collecting Richie Riches along with my brother and eventually completed that set.  I added Archies and other comics like Superboy and Superman to my collecting habits over the next couple of years and have been collecting ever since.

I worked at a comic book store from 1986-2005 in addition to attending school and eventually becoming a teacher.  I collect all sorts of comics in addition to Archies - Harvey, Dell, Gold Key, DC plus some Marvels and plenty of books from Dark Horse, Image, IDW, Boom, Dynamite, Valiant and others.

I have a complete set of Archie digests and need around 50 issues for a complete set of the regular comics featuring the Archie cast.  I don't expect to ever complete the run, though, since I am missing Archie #1-5 and most of the early Peps.  I'll keep looking, though.

BettyReggie

#2
Hi Pals & Gals
It's me BettyReggie. I originally joined on 4/30/13 which was a Tuesday. The reason I choose to name myself BettyReggie is because of Life With Archie. The loving relationship between the two. I love that part of the series. I really just wished they got married. I have 2 origami's full of comics & digests. I have 6 commissions done that hang on my wall. One is of Archie but done in modern style by Dan Parent & he also did Reggie & Harper. Reggie sitting on her lap. Gabbi Gross did Betty & Reggie for me . I asked her to do the a scene from Archie # :smitten: where Reggie shows Betty his new car on his phone. Gisele also did Reggie for me, it similar to the Archie Meets The Ramones cover. Fernando also drew Reggie for me. It's a scene from Life With Archie where Reggie fights with Simon over their reality show. And finally Thomas Pitilli drew Reggie for me. I gave him the idea of Reggie looking in the mirror but his reflection is sad because he feels like the black sheep of group. He is lonely & feels alone.
Besides Archie Comics I read Saga & Invincible & Jem & Holograms & Lumber Janes & Morning Glories & Love & Rockets & any graphic novel that I find at the library. And my favorites are Betty & Reggie & Cheryl & Archie & Jughead & Veronica & Kevin.

Archiecomicxfan215

Hi again everyone! I am glad to have re-joined this site as it is my home away from home.

I am Archiecomicxfan215 (also have a youtube channel by the same username where I posted a few Archie and Betty videos). Or you can call me Amanda. Currently I am a college senior in my 5th year of college and I am 23 years old. I have been a fan of Archie Comics since I was in the 6th grade at age 12. My dad went to the supermarket one day and came home with Betty and Veronica Double Digest #132 as a surprise for me for a fun read. I had no idea what Archie Comics was and I initially thought it was a Betty and Veronica comic( never heard of the Archie Comics brand name before this), since the first story had nothing to do with Archie. I read that digest over and over and brought it everywhere with me. My second comic was Archie Double Digest #163. As I grew older I kept collecting. Everytime I went to the supermarket my dad would tell me to pick one out and he would buy it for me. I eventually started buying a lot by myself and I would start collecting the older issues from the 1960s, 70s, 80s etc.

My oldest issue in my collection is Archie #3

Recently I been trying to save money so I haven't brought as much but I still love Archie and I tend to buy the 1000 pagers. Hope to start buying double digests again as I love them lots.

I also love other comics and my other favorites are Peanuts, Garfield, Luann, Cathy, and Pearls Before Swine

JonInIowaCity

I'm Jon. I used to get Archie digests at the grocery store, but then grew away from them. A few years ago, I picked up a copy of "Life With Archie" and quickly fell in love with the books. My favorite Archie characters are Jughead, Kevin, Two-Fisted Toni Topaz, Catfish Joe, Cosmo, and Bubbles McBounce.

Jabroniville

Hi, I'm Jab. I came back to see if the Archie creators were posting here about Calgary Comic Expo, because I'll see many of them there in a couple of days (Dan Parent, Fernando Ruiz, Rich Kowlsowski, Fiona Staples & Gisele Lagace). Unfortunately, looks like the forum burned down while I was away. Which is too bad in many ways (there is a LOT of great old stuff to look up here), but good in that we can actually recreate some of the old topics and get new discussion.

Hi, I'm Mel and from Australia. Since the recent Hargrove/server issue it said no one with my email address was a member??? Yet I have been on here as a lurker and infrequent poster for years. Reregistered and glad to be back

Gotapenname

Hey I am Gotapenname .  It been awhile since I have been here. Sad my account and all old stuff from here got deleted even though I was embarssed by some of it.

Any way I am still fan of the non rebooted  Archie comics and Reggie Mantle will always be my one of my favorite characters. I still ship Betty/Reggie in the old comic verse and The Married Life with Veronica verse.

So this is me re introducing myself. Also I have no idea how to edit my profile and it's making me low key sad.

carrotz

Hi. I remember some of your posts. I've been visiting this forum off and on ever since it started eleven years ago. (I even remember an earlier forum.)

Gotapenname

Yeah I am so glad someone remembers me
