Riverdale brought me here

Hi, I'm Kaitlyn and I am 18 years old and I started watching the new Riverdale series on the CW a few weeks ago. Before I start with my introduction though I want to say I lurked this forum and saw that many either hate the show or love it. I just want to make it clear that this thread is not going to be about the show or turn in a debate about hating or liking the show. It simply is what brought me to here and got me to pick up 3 Archie Jumbo Comics to read. So please don't bring that here. OK, like I said I picked up 3 Archie Jumbo Comics which seemed liked the best bang for my buck and I was very happy with what I have read. The comics I bought were Jughead and Archie #25, Archie #276, and Betty and Veronica #250. So my question to the more seasoned readers out there is it better for me to continue to pick these up periodically at my local bookstore or maybe get a subscription for Jumbo comics directly from Archie comics?

It's cheaper to get a subscription from archiecomics.com but they often deliver them late or not at all. I think it's close to 50% off cover price so most people just live with that.

I prefer to get my digests from Kindle or Comixology but I really only buy B&V Friends (my personal fav) and Betty and Veronica. Sometimes I get the other digests if someone comments on here that it has a particularly good lead story or is a well put together collection of stories.

That is quite the % off, but not getting them at all then really you aren't saving anything. :) Since I think I am going to just stick with the Jumbo Digest since it has the most material of what I saw on the shelves I will just get them at my local bookstore and pay a little extra. Thanks for the reply. Love your username by the way. I am also Irish. Well not from Ireland, but my ancestors are from Ireland.

I've heard nothing but complaints from those who get subscriptions from Archie.

I have a local comic book shop that does pull-lists. I had the digests pulled for me and that worked out really well. Our local Barnes & Noble gets copies of the digests also. Maybe that would be an option for you?

Barnes and Noble is the bookstore in my area. I think that just might be the way to go. I frequent there at least once every 2 weeks so I can periodically keep checking for the Jumbo comics.
