Is that the real cover, or just a foil?  I can't see the cover of Archie #600 being that plain...

Archie obviously can't get married unless it was a fantasy sequence, or a story that takes place in the future.  And Archie can't walk down the aisle with either Betty or Veronica, because that would be seen as him finally choosing one or the other.

Well....needless to say - I'm pretty excited about this story.  It's not going to be an easy one to pull off, but it's appropriate for this issue.

Obviously, this is a HUGE PR opportunity for Archie Comics!  The media is going to jump all over this one and I think we, as Archie fans can help!

Some things I am going to do:

1) phone local comic shops and ask if they are taking reservations on the Archie proposal issue.  If they say "no" then I'll say "thanks - I have to find one!".  If they say "yes" then say "cool! I just need to figure out how many I want"    

2) check-out facebook and other social sites.  Post comments.  More comments, more buzz.

3) save Betty & Veronica Spectacular     You KNEW I was going to add that.  Seriously though - this title needs to be available to help the buzz and project the image that Archie Comics aren't just the same-old/same-old.  They are new and exciting!

I'm excited to see who it is.  I'm even more excited to discuss how much I love/hate the decision.

I, too, would love to read Neil Gaiman's Archie. 

Actually, Ethel would be a choice way out of left field.  But I remember that story well, and I thought it was a nice one.
