There's a whole cottage industry in topless/nude retrofitted Archie covers (and sometimes stories) out there on the interwebs, you know. They're out there, you just have to look for them.
I feel like there's another real story where Veronica is changing in a cabana and the cabana falls down and she's topless.
I remember a story where Veronica's mom had these old fashioned bathing suits. Betty & Veronica & Ethel & other girls put them . The boys hated them so the girls went in the water & the suits were so old that just came apart. Plus Veronica's mom was wearing one too but it fell apart & she was naked in the pool.

you are definetly correct. I remember this one. I was re-reading a whole bunch of old digests a few weeks ago, and remember this story. reminded me of the beginning of a porno (not that I know what porno is ;) )

Gee, wasn't that really nice of that shark, to just carefully pluck off Cheryl's bikini top? I mean, as opposed to just biting off the top half of her body. Sabrina and Mr. Lodge didn't get off nearly as lightly. That story was pretty loose with the maiming and evisceration.
