You know when I heard the news from the link that Archie comics is about to reboot an old property that was still printed in the newspaper strip called Dick tracey: https://www.cbr.com/dick-tracy-reboot-archie-comics/ (https://www.cbr.com/dick-tracy-reboot-archie-comics/)
I was surprised because I thought Archie comics will focus only on their original property but now they are once again doing licensing comics this time by rebooting Dick tracey,I am just surprised and almost speechless by this announcement,I guess the reason they are doing to get some extra cash for their company anyway I hope Archie comics will do their best on Dick tracey even though I think IDW will fit for this job.
Interesting.
At this moment, the Tracy Property cannot reprint strips from after the movie, because of a licensing contract dispute.
Pre-film is still OK.
But I guess that comic books were not considered in the contract, or that the license came from the other side of the dispute.
I do love that Thomas Pitilli did the first cover & that's going be the artist of the book.
This looks somewhat interesting, but I've never been a Dick Tracy fan so I'll probably end up passing on it.
I'll probably look at it, but I'd guess I'll wind up passing, unless the reboot includes Moon Maid (doubtful at best).
