Oldiesmann: December solicitations are out. One holiday special, one facsimile edition and a single digest. I wonder if this is the new normal or if they plan to go back to releasing multiple digests each month

Tuxedo Mark: The first Josie movie was way ahead of its time, and a lot of people didn't understand it, but it's one of my favorite movies ever.

QuoteWe are extremely heartbroken and devastated to inform the Archie family of the passing of Archie Comics icon and Editor in Chief, Victor Gorelick, who made Riverdale his home for over sixty years. No person embodied the Archie spirit more than Victor, who was a leader, friend, and mentor to everyone that walked through the doors of Archie. A ilfelong friend and mentor to Archie Comics Co-CEO, Jon Goldwater - and an inspiration to the entire Archie Comics family - Victor will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Kathie, his family, his friends, and his many fans.

Tuxedo Mark

Yeah, I read this overnight on my phone. RIP, Victor. :(

DeCarlo Rules

He outlived all his contemporaries at Archie Comics. Truly the last of the Old Guard. I think he had been editing for ACP since the mid-1960s, when Harry Shorten left the company. Who knows how this will affect the continuation of "classic style" Archie?

Saddened by this.  I talked to him at least once about my MLJ history.  He was a nice guy.
