Oldiesmann: December solicitations are out. One holiday special, one facsimile edition and a single digest. I wonder if this is the new normal or if they plan to go back to releasing multiple digests each month

Finally finished Betty and Veronica Jumbo #238... yes the orange Christmas one with the dog. Yes I'm a bit behind on digests. Was digging through some digests I had from when I was a kid and actually found Holiday Fun digest #1. Forgot I had that.

invisifan

Just binged through Grace Randolph's Supurbia ...  :buck2:

I read some Little Lulu stories  :D

Did anyone read GOLDIE VANCE from a few weeks ago? It's a Boom comic (#1 of 4) by Hope Larson (haven't read any of her previous stuff) and Brittney Williams (who draws Marvel's new PATSY WALKER comic). Not sure what it's about, but it looks like it might be some Nancy Drew-type mystery solving thing. I'm going to give it a try later and see if I like it.

Gotta read PATSY WALKER #5 from last week first, though...

I read each of these for 12 minutes
📖 Archie's Funhouse Comics Double Digest #13
📖 Archie & Jughead Jumbo Comics Digest #15
📖 World Of Archie Comics Double Digest #48

DeCarlo Rules

Yesterday I read JUGHEAD & FRIENDS DIGEST #1, 2, 8, and 9.
Today I read PATSY WALKER a.k.a. HELLCAT #5, SCOOBY-DOO TEAM-UP #16 and GOLDIE VANCE #1.
I like the art in GOLDIE, and the story was alright I guess, but doesn't really compel me to keep reading the title.

BettyReggie

I have to catch up on reading my digital comics. I'm going read Sunstone-Volume #4 and maybe a few more digital comics.

I've read both of these. The art in Goldie was very cute. The story was like you said very Nancy Drew and ok enough. I'll support it because it's one of the few girlie comics. I especially like the Florida setting. Most comics seem to be set in NYC or big cities.

More Betty and Veronicas. Ran across an issue where Victor Gorelick mentions 9/11. I'm still convinced he made a cameo in Die Kitty Die #3. Also there really are tons of Canadian fans, evidenced by how much fan art they send in.

BettyReggie

I read Deadly Class #20 & Archie #385 & #415 & World Of Archie #6.

I read each of these for 12 minutes
Jughead & Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #15
The Best Of Archie Comics -75 Years 75 Stories
Archie-1000 Page Comics-75th Anniversary Bash
Betty & Veronica-Comics Double Digest #232

How's the 75th anniversary bash? Does it have lots of old stories?

BettyReggie

It has new & old stories. But I'm read it again soon.

reading some She's Josie stories from the early issues of the World of Archie digests. I didn't realize they reprinted almost complete issues of She's Josie in each digest sort of in order. They could easily put out an anthology of these, even digitally.

Space Battle Lunchtime #1 - very cute adventure story. Reminds me a bit of Adventure Time and Monsters Inc. More of a taste than a complete story. Hopefully issue #2 is longer.
