Kevin does seem to have been de-emphasized recently.  You can get his trades dirt cheap on Archie's website, and he hardly shows up after the first few issues in the main Archie book. (I don't know about Jughead, as I haven't been following it).  It makes you wonder if ACP doesn't think that Kevin Keller has run its course, and decided to move on to the next thing.

He's there pretty much as one of the main gang in Jughead, but for anything more it seems like no news is bad news with ACP

I wonder why ACP decided to make him de-emphasized?  Also, I am super glad that (back in 2010/2011) they decided to add an openly gay character (I support him!)  I do think, that if ACP wants to become more influential with younger people, they also need to create a Transgendered character!  Caitlyn Jenner (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was extremely brave in her coming out, I think that ACP would pick up even MORE readers if they created a Transgendered character.  What do you think?

I think that for Archie, a transgender character would be even harder to write for than Kevin was.  If you want to read a good Comic about transgendered kids, look up Wandering Son from Fantagraphics.  Wonderful, heartbreaking story.  I'd still be reading it today if it didn't break my heart so much.  It's a very good story.

Assuming the book comes out, then Kevin will be more emphasized. But right now, he's not part of a book to promote.


He's still a recurrent presence in "Archie" and he's an active supporting character in "Jughead." And those are the two major books. So he's not doing too shabby.


But please no Caitlyn Jenner presence on Riverdale. Her bravery is a sickening mix of publicity-seeking and privilege. IMHO, as always...

Caitlyn Jenner does not speak for all transgender people, true.  And I doubt even ACP and their ever-present need for more publicity would be dumb enough to feature her in an Archie Comic.  I know some transgender people and most of them are very nice people.

I didn't mean Caitlyn should be on, I meant ANY Transgendered person.  The individuals bravery speaks for itself!

Today I read my first Kevin story ever. It's in 75 Years, 75 Stories. It was 2 stories about him. They were okay, I guess, but I'm not a Dan Parent fan, so...

Watch out, Caitlyn Jenner, JonInIowaCity is telling you to check your privilege!  Did she break the SJW brain trust by supporting Trump or something?      It's not like I'm a huge fan, but it's good she came out, maybe people like gay men will stop treating transwomen like garbage like they have gotten away with for decades on end if there is an actual trans celebrity?  Oh I'm sorry, is being an Olympian to low of a bar for personal achievement for successful trans people? Kevin got very good sales in the beginning, but I think it was sadly a bubble from collector interest.  They didn't position the comic right in the beginning in regards to entertainment value to keep readers coming back it seems.  Although, Veronica, Betty, etc. also got canned so it's not like he's alone.

I'm not a fan of Caitlyn or any of the Kardashian/Jennner clan. Sorry...

I love Fiona's Kevin. He actually better than Archie in the reboot. There's a scene when he arguing with Jughead & Kevin looks so handsome.
