  • DeCarlo Rules: Jughead's Time Police #1 is out next week, along with Archie & Sabrina Part 1 (#705). Looking forward to the former, while my interest in ARCHIE has waned since #700... I guess I'll still read it just to see what they do with Sabrina, but the plot already seems too padded-out for my liking.

  • DeCarlo Rules: Collectively, it seems like they've put out more horror titles than anything else since cancelling the classic ARCHIE and B&V titles, Maybe it's just easier to do those than to come up with a new spin on an all-ages Archie title.

  • DeCarlo Rules: @ darkmark -- That's the unavoidable conclusion, based on the fact that since AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE and CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA went M.I.A., ACP has been working overtime to keep new horror titles coming down the pipeline. First JUGHEAD THE HUNGER, then VAMPIRONICA, then BLOSSOMS 666,...

...Okay, I guess you are saying - though not actually spelling it out - that the non-Archie material in ARCHIE #1 that is shown on the famous cover, for example, is not included. Okay. I rather expected that.

...Yes, but the direct link here was snazzy  :smitten: !! :D

...Maybe I should start a new line but........... ???
Any chance, repeating myself, of bringing back the link to the daily newspaper strip of modern reprints (I assume that it is still running) ? Yes, I know it's been reprints for a long time now :buck2: :P ...........
4
...Did the book include any of the non-Archie filler material that the first couple of issues of the eponymous title would have had? I suppose not.
5
...I remember that here, some years ago when Charlie Sheen was on that bizarre " setting up household with XXX stars " trip, someone did a fan art here showing Charlie with Betty and Veronica as two of his " angels " 8) :smitten:  - I sure 'nuff can't draw, but, IF :D ;D .........
6
...I'd personally hope for a standard-format comic book more than a digest.
7
...How many pages it if? And is this her 3d siory? First to give her a surname?
8
...Crossover with Robert and Aline Ctumb or S. Clay Wilson or the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers!-!!!!!!!!! :D !
9
...So I"m not the only person here weird enough to have made this connection :smitten: !!!!!!!!!!  By the way, there was a popular ventriloquist's dummy character on British radio and TV of the 40s and 50s called Archie Andrews! :D There's a Wikipedia entry for him.

...GirlY comics  or " GirlIE comics "? Girly or girlie? I'd -go with the latter.[/size]

There's a preview with a few frames in the latest Image+ and Previews magazine.

I enjoyed Luna the Vampire and Jonesy but looking at the upcoming Previews not a lot of new girlie comics series are coming. Those must have not sold well. :(

Quote from: DeCarlo Rules on October 01, 2016, 06:04:26 amI'd like to see Bryan Lee O'Malley draw something written by someone else. I don't care all that much for his writing, but I like his artwork. I also liked the artwork in SNOTGIRL (I've forgotten the artist's name at the moment), but again, cared even less for O'Malley's writing than I did on Scott Pilgrim (I liked the movie version better, story and dialogue-wise).

General Discussion / Re: Sears/Kmart
January 13, 2019, 10:01:21 am
...I just saw a story in the Guardian about Sears' state, and it indicates that if Sears' goes down, it's going to drag K- art with it! Literally -
It says that if Eddie Lambert's latest plan to keep Sears going is rejected, creditors will take both Sears AND K-Mart and shutter both to repay their debts! :-X :smiley6600: :tickedoff:
It is buried quite deep in the article. Maybe this is old hat to youse/y'all, but it is new to me!!!!! :-*  I don:t recall the umpteen things I'd seen before about the endless Sears death scene saying that KM was I'm immediate danger of closing, though I guess they said that they were not in good shape! :buck2:

...Stan worked with Dan DeCarlo lots, of course - and probably much more with Stan Goldberg :smitten: :D :) !!!!!!!!!!! - on Archiesque material! ;D ;)  I think this includes a short-lived Marvel title from the turn of the 70s titled EVERYTHING HAPPENS TO HARVEY!!!!!!!!!

All About Archie / Re: Sliding timeline

...I'd like to say some things started off by this amazing! :D  work of effort.
I do assume that you're, in oart, looking through your own past here :smitten: . I'm SURE! I'm the oldest regular of any sort here - I'm 58 :coolsmiley: . Perhaps you're early-mud 30s? Younger? The concept of this does post reminds me of that " Beloit Guide " (or whatever it's called) that appears in the media every year, which talks about what the stsndsrd-aged (17-18) were born after/before/experienced in their childhood. I:m sure you've encounty it too.
I'll stop this kickoff comment here, I'm on a lil' phone now - and am once again in a hospital bed :o ! (Anyway, they got wi-fi :smiley6600: .) I hope you'll have something to say.
